[HxSS] We want your ideas!

Hey everyone!

I know what you're thinking, it's so last minute as the event is starting in a week but DON'T WORRY! Tons of stuff is already being sorted, but the last bits are coming together now and we wanted some last minute ideas from you guys.

We're not really asking for specific things, but any suggestions you might have or things you'd REALLY like to see we'd love and then I'll try and see if we can get them out for you!

Anyway you don't have very long (soz I meant to post this ages ago and forgot) so if you have any burning suggestions then get them out before the end of the weekend!


Things that you might want to post about:

• Prizes
• Teams, team allocations
• Big events (there is still time for us to plan the last one!) - use the other thread (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=827784) for individual events please!
• Telling us we're really pretty and lovely (I'm not saying we'll definitely give you extra points for this but it might help)
• Other stuff and feedback on where we might have gone wrong in previous years?

maybe a reward idea could be they can choose someone to swap teams and take all their points with them, if you know what i mean? that could really shake things up;)

some last man standings although the last 2 hxhd sleepovers have been quite awful imo

maybe ability to win more points in certain events, if i recall its usually 20 points divided by amount of winners! i have made nice game to host during hxss but i dont get how i will keep to the 20 point limit, it will only be hosted 2 or 3 times
i think this could make it more competitive and allow ppl to catchup a lil bit! usually ppl will start to lose interest towards end because they know ppl cant catch up

creative events not just boring fridge game - collision games are so popular i dont get why not as many are hosted at habbox (duck attack etc)

I actually like this idea. I know a few people wouldn't like to see this implemented as they might have already chosen their desired team with/without certain people in it, but it would make things a bit more interesting.

randomised teams might be a good idea however i'd like to see more points allocated for maybe coming 2nd and 3rd in an event rather than number 1 getting everything considering some games last longer than others some people might not get to play and fewer games will be played which then means the winner/winner's get something like 100/200 pts for winning one event rather than it being split between so many other winners also habbox live needs to be given a set amount of daily points they are allowed to give out as some people will beg their friend djs to do shows at like 3am when hardly anyone is listening so they have a bigger chance of winning again and again

I'm beginning to see how easy it is to make suggestions when you're not the one who has to carry them out hahah. I sorted the staff allocations before I left, but that will probably be changed.

There should be a super awesome VIP for the event, like a text shadow that transitions between all the team's colours.

Also random teams would sort a lot of the issues we normally have.

no way, random allocation sounds good cause u can bond with NEW people and it'll help shyer members interact with some of us who have been here a long time etc. i know a lot of people end up posting more because they befriend others at hxss (eg orientalframe i think started talking to flyingjesus etc at hxss and started posting more maybe?) plus it's fun to compete against your friends!

Yeah I just went through the skins to have a look if there was any difference and it's just a white colour, BORINGGG! I am on Firefox though so is it supposed to just be white or something more fancy

The 5 was only an example I can't remember how the points for HxSS are spread normally been a long time since I took part!! But yeah 30, 20, 10 sounds alright to me and the 20 for each radio is good too with 4 or 5 through the hour. Competitions then could do a 1st, 2nd 3rd kind of thing too I guess with a similar point structure!

I wasn't saying people don't go was just saying it would get MORE to go. I know points for HxSS are given more generously but I was just using the other big events as an example where only 1 point is given for winning. There will be no rigging on my watch >: )

why are people suggesting 3 5 and 1 point what's wrong with plain ole 1 2 3 for top 3 and restructuring points for radio comps like 3 per competition

Sounds good to me. Wouldn't be hard to do it. I think you should do something like make a thread for the community based players, like a registration thread. Then close it just b4 hxss and randomly allocate everyone on the forum. It does seem to be that a lot of people are goingto go on the black team and will make it boring and uncompetitive :(

black team has never won hxss and it's the same person joining this year as before. it's not unbalanced, most people waver after a few days and the other teams get more members.

I would have thought that with the odd event like that when there's just one winner that there would just be one winner!

Teams will be staying the same mainly because it's all been sorted graphic wise and things. Maybe next year?

then the winner of the game would get the allocated points for coming first and that would be it, it's about trying to sort out the uneven point distribution related with some events where there's only 2 games and the winner gets like 100pts each

Well we shouldn't be having those long games with only a handful of players in an event that's meant to be about getting lots of people involved :P we often seem to get slots where people are just standing around waiting to play and never get to in HxSS and that shouldn't be happening

i find when i've hosted tournaments in the past doing top 10 gets points has always been really well received and rewards people who come regularly. top 3 sounds good, maybe 1st gets 3, 2nd and 3rd get 1, so that is 5~ which is a relatively good number to slot in with however many points games are meant to be given out.

maybe have it for games that are hosted maximum of 5 times points are given to 1st 2nd 3rd, and games that are played regularly it is split between the winners.

i'd be up for random team allocation as well though i can see it being a HUGE pain to apply for when new players come in and have no idea what hxss is. maybe when doing scoreboard if new players without a team gain points they are on a 'waiting list' and if they are interested in joining a team they must make a forum account and request to join, will also solve the issue with winners who have no interest in hxss and only joined a team because people in the room told them to join.

Not at all. This is just for the long-standing members who want to be on a SPECIFIC team, and helps us "allocate" staff members while still allowing them some choice. The registration will close before the event begins and after then people can still join teams, we just have more of an idea how balanced they're going to be at first :)
