What, why? :o
What, why? :o
They apparently don't need two senior staff at the moment. Bit sly and serves no purpose and is especially bad for team morale imo!

Wow, that's more than a bit sly. It's a voluntary position - what do they have to lose by keeping her on as a senior other than gaining the negatives you've mentioned? :|
Hmm, I'm with kyle and Hannah... Don't need two seniors because you aren't capable of hiring the amount of staff needed... I know you've been loyal to hx Cassie, but you'll do much better somewhere else, if you care.

Don't really understand why someone would be demoted unless it was based on performance, like I know it happens in real life but this is Habbox and I don't think keeping two seniors would have been too damaging to the department! :P The Senior role involves helping new events organisers to learn the ropes, keep an eye on the quality of the events and provide feedback on them to ensure that things are working as they should- as well as taking part in group discussions regarding new ideas for the department with management. I'm guessing Jake and Sammy are just very active though if they're able to do all this themselves. :P
Thanks for all your work as senior Cassie, hope you're not too demoralised! Give v7 a big slap from me! :P

The intention for a while had been to reduce down to 1 senior with the introduction of V7 as it is much easier to keep track of and control staff/events with the new system we have and there is simply no need for two people filling that role. The decision was made based on performance and contributions to the department over the last few months and Sammy was the best performer, hence why he has kept the role. Cassie may have held the title for a longer period of time but as I said, the choice was made based on performance and these points have all been made known to her. She is an important part of the team and I hope she will continue on in the regular role.

I don't particularly see the point in this demotion. Surely all you're doing is running the risk of her now resigning completely for the sake of reducing the senior staff numbers. To me it would have made more sense to wait for one of them to resign and then not replace the person who left.
Anyway, thanks for your time Cassie and hopefully you'll stick around.
what are the roles a senior eo has to perform
Thanks Cassie for your time!

I agree with Chris - until one resigns it would have been better and beneficial to hold onto two and not remove one out of the two from their role because they won't be needed as much as the other due to V7 - you all are supposed to be a team. Yes, it is true that V7 would make it easier to control events and staff, but what it can't do is create a bond between fellow event staff members and offer them extra guidance. When I say 'create a bond' I mean, for example, two SEOs continuing to work together as a good team and holding mini events, fun tasks/missions, and communicating with/for staff members in the department in order for them, the staff members, to get to know each other more and become comfortable with each other and the department itself. This is also very important for newcomers.
I throw around the word team because when everyone works together, supports each other, and puts in effort - I believe good shall come. :)
What's done is done now anyways. Thanks for your time Cassie!

Yeah but to be fair this is much funnier

Sadly it's been a long time since you were staff. I can't think of any department that even does team bonding in any shape or form anymore. :(

Thanks to everyone who thought this demotion is truely unfair, and should have waited for one of us to resign. The fact I'm currently on holiday and come online to find my title taken away, after doing all i can and being in the department for 3 years, has unfortunately made me resign from the department fully. As if Jake was to have waited, like what Chris; has stated, has only gone and made himself lose staff, rather than gaining.
Personally i always believe the person in the role longer is the person you should pick over someone who hasn't had it for as long. Experience is better than someone that's new to the role.

I know you are currently on holiday, but I sent you both a message about 2 weeks ago letting you know the situation and that you would both receive a further message when a final decision had been made. With regards to what you said about the length of time in the department and experience, yes you might have served a longer period in the department but Sammy has also been a senior in the department beforehand too so he does have the relevant experience also. Yes, I could have waited for someone to resign before reducing it down to one senior but that could be a long time down the line and I would rather have a solid staff structure than wait to be able to have a solid structure as to not be 'mean' to someone. I'm not sure where Chris' point is coming from because I spoke to him quite a while ago about coming down to just one senior before V7 was even released and he was in agreement with the point I made. There was never any intention to make you resign from the department as I have stated in PMs to you, but yet you have just ignored those and replied with "I'd like to resign." and instead voice what you have to say in public rather than in response to what I have sent you where something could be worked out.

thx for ur time cassie! although you weren't a very vibrant event host you did host quite a lot of cool fun games and i feel this is rly unfair on u and embarrassing :(
sad times but i won't miss horse racing that was so annoying and laggy
it's nothing about experience it's about who does the job better in meanies eyes and is at least sociable and actually bothers to integrate themselves into the community and other than your events i didn't see you anywhere other than zebbadi's events like twice
you did host some great events sometimes so sad to see you resign, it didn't have to come to this i'm sure :'(

Whilst it might not have been the nicest thing to happen, I'm pretty sure Jake would have taken into consideration a wide range of things when coming to a decision. For example, on client activity, response from the community and general attitude.
I am actually really against having the person who has been around the longest having priority, because for one, it makes that people lazy and expectant of keeping their role without really earning it.
Like thms said, I haven't really seen you interact with the community properly since before Christmas, so that could well have been a deciding factor.
You did have some really good events and it's sad to see you leave because you disagree with the decision, but I hope you stick around in general.

I'd rather voice my opinion, so people can see how unfairly and how sly the department can be. If you are/were aware i was on holiday, the decent thing to have done was to wait for me to come back, in response i could have taken it better, rather than feeling you were that desperate to get rid of me. To the end of your message, what are you imying to? There is and would be nothing to work out.
Also, correct. Zebbadi has been Senior before, for less than a month and resigned due to the fact of not enjoying it. I had no intention of leaving the department anytime soon.

I was on holiday about 3 weeks ago and this week. My work hours take up a good chunk of work. So i held mostly early hours in the morning.
I'm sorry but you don't interact with the community at all, not even in your own events, the only time you make the effort to interact is if you're dating them or if they're complaining/complimenting you - on top of this you won't even support other departments and blatantly ignore other managers when we ask if you could help advertise something. What did you expect? Events needed to make a choice and they chose someone who was capable of holding a community role and went ahead with their choice, if it was the best thing to do at this point, idk but it needed doing.
Thanks for your time and that but sorry I wanted to 'voice my opinion'

I only interact if I'm dating someone? Try to not make yourself look a ****
And try to not get personal. I've dated once, regrettably and unfortunately was zebbadi. So end that rubbish. The fact i ignore you is because you don't ask. You demand. I advertised Habbox as a whole, and had wired to do it entering my game. So everything you've said is completely unacceptable and targeting.

I just find it strange how none of this even attempted to be put across in any PMs. If I was aware you were away then yes, I would have waited but I thought it was a few days into August that you were away and not from the start which is a bad call on my part and I admit that. There was no 'desperation' to get rid of you, nor was there any intent to get rid of you whatsoever, the decision that was made was a demotion based on the performance being given and a number of factors were taken into consideration which include your work constraints and how much of a problem they caused with being around for the primetime events, along with failure to truly interact with the community and quite a number of people felt uncomfortable attending your events due to your attitude.
@your reply to lesbon, The fact that you use wired to advertise the Habbox sites doesn't qualify as enough and it takes a personal approach a lot of the time. Wired when you enter the room is quite often skipped over and if you use a bot then people quite often mute them to stop seeing the messages. You should know that we encourage active advertising and unfortunately that is another point that you slipped up on.

What a load of crap, you paint yourself out to be a terrible victim of some secret scandal when you're not. I can't even demand stuff in my own department let alone demanding advertisment from an event organiser on a power trip
