Hi guys, so am currently on countdown to my results day and starting to get nervous.
Anyone else feeling the same? XD
What is everyone studying at college and for those going to uni?
Good luck to those that pick up A-level results tomorrow x

Thanks for the good luck wish, currently really really scared for tomorrow morning, can't see me sleeping well at all! Best of luck with your GCSE's next week, just don't be disheartened if you don't do too well, make sure you work hard at AS and keep pushing!
am feeling okay
I only want Bs anyway so will disappointed if I miss out but nevermind
if all goes wrong can always choose something else I guess however a levels would be preferred
am p chilled about it though seeing as I can't change whats already been done
good luck tomorrow people getting a level results!!

i'm more nervous than i thought i'd be honestly! i'm trying to not get myself into a panic but it's so hard because i can feel my heart race whenever i hear anything about results day.
quite worried about maths because my parents paid for me a tutor all year so if i don't get an A they'll probably slaughter me and the edexcel paper this year was so hard with the hannah's sweets question and what not. other than that i'm only really hoping for an A* in art and i'm not really worried about the rest of my grades but i'd like to get a B in everything else however i'll be lucky with a C in both core and additional science.
does anyone have any plans about how they're going to open their results?

oh no, poor joe! Am sure you will do well :D
Goodluck gina, i hope you get what you want :)
Rosie you sound like me, am worried because i don't want to disappoint other people :( Am worried about my history and food technology at the moment. I'd be happy with anything C or above. But goodluck rosie, i hope you get the grade you would like.
Am opening my results on my own as everyone is at work LOL gives me time to plan my excuses ;)

Don't you dare get yourselves worked up guys! Especially if you think it'll disappoint people. I felt like that, but in the end it's just a letter. I did well in my GCSEs, but I put this expectation on myself because I thought I'd upset my parents if I did badly.
No matter what you get, you'll always have Habbox ;)
I believe in you all, and if your parents are pooheads about anything, I'll come and find them!
Good luck!
I have to pick mine up as well. This is what I think I'll get
English Lit: C
English Lang: C
Maths: C
Science: D or E
RE: D or C
Business: B
ICT: C
ART: D

does anyone have any plans about how they're going to open their results?
I will be opening myself then look then show it. Then laugh maybe at how bad I done. Then just show others. Then bugger off.

here's what i hope i'll get:
art: A*
religious studies: A/A*
drama: A
maths: A
french: A/B
music: B
english lit: B
english lang: B
core science: C
additional science: C
i need atleast 6 A*-B's to get into the sixth form pathway they've set me into, so really the difference between and A's and B's doesn't mean much to me other than like i said in maths.
i'll be going to school with my mum in the morning to pick up my results however i've asked her to wait in the car so i can be alone when i open them, then i'll show my friends and teachers if i'm happy, if not i'll just go back to the car and talk to my mum about them and hopefully she'll be understanding.

TBH I'd be lucky if I get a B or an A. I only need 5 A*-C for my course.
Anyways good luck.

Good luck everyone. I remember when I picked up my GCSE's and the teacher who was giving it to me asked me before she gave it to me 'what are you hoping you have?' and all I said was 'at least a C in maths' and she gave it to me and I did and I cried in happiness ahahahhaha
But yes, good luck!

Anyways getting ready for enrollment now. And English resit. I have to resit in June/July as I don't qualify for the November exam.

We can all be old together!
To anyone worried about their GCSEs - I know people who have lied about their GCSEs and they haven't even been checked lol. I have also never been asked for or about my GCSE's past entry to college.

^^This. I have also known people to lie, put a B for maths on their CV for example and it's never been checked. Though I don't advise anyone to do this! The only time I've had to prove mine is for my PGCE, you need at least a C in English, Maths and Science GCSE.
Most universities don't ask for GCSE results unless it's one of the top ones. So, if you're doing A-Levels just study hard and make it up then. If you have good A-Levels, nobody will even bother asking what your GCSEs are. The same sort of pattern continues to degree level. I didn't do great in my A-Levels but went on to get a first for my degree so nobody bothers asking about what A-Levels I got because they assume someone with a first did well :P

Well done Gina, great results! Told you that you had nothing to worry about with Maths :P I pulled a B in it, bit disappointed although it's an improvement over the C I originally got but I guess that's the price you pay with self-studying rather than attending lessons.
Having been through college, university and graduation, I can tell you now that when you apply for your jobs they only look at your A Levels and University mark. Rarely do they consider your GCSEs. So if you have screwed up, don't worry, just ace your A Levels :) (or you are screwed...)
On another note... Manchester's local radio station normally puts students on the radio live as they open their GCSEs. Awkward moment when the kid opening started saying he got D's... they stopped him and played a song.

i dont know how i managed an A
was so shocked when i saw the results
probably bc boundaries were quite low for A anyway but am happy with it anyway thank u! B is great tho ahh well done x i wouldnt be disappointed a lot of people got so upset because they didnt get a C
not many got a B and few got an A at my school

Whilst these results may not matter a lot in the future, nevertheless if you have done well be very proud of it :) GCSEs can be important to colleges and I know some won't let you do certain courses until you achieve certain grades so congrats if you got there *yay*.
I know I could of done better. I did not revise much and fell asleep in lessons a lot.

I'm doing Business level 3 with English resit. I'm going for a remark first. But I can't resit in November as I don't meet requirements. I enroll tomorrow so all will be more or less sorted then.
