HEY FRIENDS

I NEED YOUR HELP.

SO.

THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

I want highlights, but i've never dyed my hair, and i'm scared to get highlights, should I get highlights? I've been debating this for MONTHS!!!!! PROBS ABOUT A YEAR. OR MORE. I Just can not decide!! I honestly need so much help.

My hair is pretty blonde. I just want it lighter. I don't want thick strips, I want really thin...

TBH... IM NOT EVEN SURE WHAT IT WOULD LIKE.. LOOK LIKE ON MY HAIR. Peeps that have seen me or my hair, help pls.

My hair darkened a lot in the summer because... It's summer.. I don't go outside.. Bugs...

anyway. So it's darkened up because of that a lot. My hair is pretty much a champagne blonde. Not light as it used to be though which makes me sad. WHICH IS WHY I WANT HIGHLIGHTS.

Guys help me :') should I? orrr. DEBATE DOWN BELOW PLEASE :')

I wanted to go lighter blonde and asked my salon director for a block colour but she suggested highlights because they look much more natural and you can go far longer before needing root touch-up. Mine are incredibly thin. She teased up an inch width per foil but only about 2 strands deep so when it all layers back on top it all blends together. I had three shades from a sort of golden blonde to pale ash blonde and they worked really well with my natural dark blonde. I had it redone about six months later and I'm due to get it done again.

if you are scared, go to a professional whom you actually trust as opposed to a random ***** who could **** up your hair

i used to highlight mine (my hair is dark blonde). it got to a point most my hair was an ugly bleach colour and breaking off... so i'd advise not doing it every 2 months or so like me :P that along with blowdrying and straightening made me grow out my natural colour.

ALSO CORRECTION FRIENDS. ME AND PEOPLE AGREED THAT MY HAIR IS A LIGHTER GOLDEN BLONDE AND NOT CHAMPAGNE.

My stylist talked to me about an accent highlight? Like. She said she would accent it at the top and then see if I like it, and if I didn't, she would be able to hide it until it grew back out to my natural. Idk. Like. Not even sure what that is.

Do the accent thing, see what you think and if you like it have it done properly - I'd say.
