apparently the best experience is 4-5-1-2-3-6

you get the build up to the big secret that everyone knows, then you get the backstory of vader, then you finish it off with 6.
then you sit and wait for 7

chronological order is 123456 lol but 456123 is the order they were made to be watched in. I watched them all over the past couple weeks and imo #2 is worst and #1 is best and the poor effort to disguise who darth sidious is is very annoying

It's up to you how you watch them. As of 1999 the films all have their episodic titles so storyline-wise, you could start with The Phantom Menace and end with Return of the Jedi because that's how the whole story unfolds chronologically.

Of course, between '99 and 2005 everyone of a certain age had grown up with the original trilogy, so when the prequels came out it was just a matter of those films filling in the blanks, so you can choose to watch them how everyone else saw the films (out of chronological order since the prequels simply didn't exist) or you can start from the beginning of the timeline and work your way to Return of the Jedi. I'm fortunate to be old enough that The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones didn't comprise my first exposure to Star Wars because that would be awful.

The Empire Strikes Back is still the best, which is why I find The Force Awakens such an exciting prospect because Empire scribe Larry Kasdan co-wrote it, and honestly the trailers and images feel more like true Star Wars than the largely shoddy prequel trilogy ever did.

Phantom Menace is the only one that's in any way interesting, just watch that then go see something better

Star Wars Revenge of the Sith is the best. And cos Anakin is smoking hot and my favourite character, General Grievous, is in it.

CIS - Confederacy of Independent Systems is the best side too xx always went them on Battlefront II.

And has a distinct inability to act.
