My sister's boyfriend is from Grimsby, and we've noticed (and taken pleasure in) saying Yorkshire sayings that he's never heard of on the East Coast! Whether it be "It'll be reight" (which means 'It'll be alright'), or "Give you a clout" (which means 'Give you a smack/slap') it's just funny watching him try think what they could possibly mean! It gave me an idea for this competition, since around the UK and the world everywhere will have different sayings that I, or someone else will have never heard of. For this competition I want you to tell me something you've heard someone say, or said yourself that someone in another part of the country wouldn't understand and its meaning!

The most interesting will win.

Example: Bray – meaning to hit someone.

Prize: 1 Weeks Forum VIP and 15 Rep

moider(ing).

i'm not sure if they say this in south wales, but whenever i say it down there i get weird looks so i assume they don't and i'm not sure if anywhere else says it outside of north wales, but it means to babble nonsense.
like if someone was rambling on about pointless crap i'd tell them to stop moidering me idk
