Great British Bake Off's resident heartthrob Tamal Ray reveals he's gay after being bombarded with innuendo-filled tweets from smitten female fans

He is this year's resident Bake Off heartthrob. But after being bombarded by innuendo-laden tweets from his hordes of female fans, trainee anaesthetist Tamal Ray reveals he's single - and looking for a boyfriend.
Speaking to the Radio Times (http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-09-28/bake-offs-tamal-i-wouldnt-have-a-girlfriend-i-would-have-a-boyfriend-but-im-single-at-the-moment), the 29-year-old explained when asked if he had a girlfriend: 'I wouldn't have a girlfriend, I would have a boyfriend. But I am single at the moment.' However, that doesn't mean he hasn't had plenty of offers from smitten viewers: 'Yes, I have had a few offers on Twitter!' Bake Off followers aren't the only one's who are big fans of Tamal - his patients can't get enough of his antics on the hit BBC series.

He adds: 'It's a great icebreaker. In the morning I see my patients on that day's operating list, and talking about Bake Off helps with the tension a bit. 'I didn't think the consultants were particularly interested, but I made some muffins recently and they all went mad for them.'

I don't even watch this show but naturally from reading the Femail section of the Daily Mail I sorta keep in touch with pop culture/what is going on (mainly to look at the pictures and read comments) and I saw the article last month on how people were saying he was fit... think now i'll actually have to watch this show.
