He simultaneously announced his relationship with the 41-year-old director
They met in spring 2013 and have been dating for two years
Daley holds two gold medals for England from the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games
Black is an Academy Award winning screenwriter and LGBT activist

Tom Daley and his boyfriend Dustin Lance Black have announced their engagement.


The long-term couple went under the radar by subtly registering the news in the back of The Times (http://store3.thetimes.co.uk/special-offers/?CMP=KNG_-bogtf-ppc-15_09_2015-871-0-0-0-G_BR_TT_Pure_Brand_[E]-msix-The%20Times-the%20times) newspaper on Thursday morning. Tom and Dustin have now been together for two years, after the Olympic bronze medal winning diver came out via YouTube in December 2013.

Their announcement in the Births, Marriages and Death section read: 'The engagement is announced between Tom, son of Robert and Debra Daley of Plymouth, and Lance, son of Jeff Bisch of Philadelphia and Anne Bisch of Lake Providence.' The couple are yet to set a date and Tom's excited mother Debbie Daley says that are waiting until after his appearance in the Olympic Games in Rio - taking place in August 2016 - to plan the big day.
