Not sure if anyone remembers this incident a while back;

A student diversity officer who came to prominence in a race row after allegedly tweeting the hashtag #killallwhitemen has been charged by police with sending a threatening communication.

Bahar Mustafa, of Goldsmiths, University of London, is set to appear at Bromley magistrates court on 5 November.

The 28-year-old from Edmonton, north-east London, faces two charges. One is sending a communication conveying a threatening message between 10 November 2014 and 31 May 2015. The second is for sending a grossly offensive message via a public communication network between 10 November 2014 and 31 May 2015.

Mustafa was initially accused of racism for asking white men not to attend a students’ union meeting intended for ethnic minority women and non-binary attendees.

She then became embroiled in a separate row, accused of using the hashtag #killallwhitemen on her Twitter account, which has since been deleted.

...

After the furore, Mustafa denied that her initial request for white men to stay away from a union meeting was racist or sexist

This might be farfetched but this is one of the greatest news stories I've seen all year. I'm so glad that braindead sexist idiot didn't get away with this and that it's finally come around and bit her in the ass. I do think charging her is a tad far but I'm too busy in glee right now.

If she ends up being convicted for a tweet then there's something very wrong with our laws. I hope this case gets thrown out for the reason it's a tweet (but not for any other reason like she's a woman or something).

Agreed.

She's an awful person but I can't see this going anywhere really. Sadly there's no law against being hideously ignorant of reality, and since they can't seemingly give her any real punishment without causing uproar over freedom of speech or whatever she's probably going to come out of this crying victimhood and feeling like everything she's said and done is justified. Should have just booted her out of the SU and left it at that

Some good news at last. Hope she gets the maximum penalty.

Well it sends a good message to social media users not to joke about things. Surely she'd just be fined or something.

I wonder how she is much different to Katie Hopkins.

Katie Hopkins has been holding meetings and barring black and Chinese people from them?

Are you saying people shouldn't be able to joke about things? :P

'Kill all white men' is hardly a hashtag that should be used and is of course going to generate attention when posted on Twitter. Surely with people being taken to court in the past because of tweets or posts on social media when they're only jokes, she probably should've known better.
