Hiya guys!
It's that time of year again where we're voting for the HxHD Christmas layout - since you've all pushed desperately for the new layout, we've done it slightly earlier this year! So I hope you're all prepared to have the winning layout until after Christmas and you don't complain about it...;)

4 but obv the one with the most friends wins
I voted 2 simply because it looks more like it could serve the help desk, but I'd like to see certain elements that 5 has got implemented into 2, such as the desk itself which looks tacky. Also, I wouldn't mind if 4 won simply for nostalgia, looks so cute :(

Graham's is only one I like but that's a repeat and if we are having repeats then I'd rather have my 2012 one!!

Layout 4 by far. It's the traditional HxHD room layout and more importantly it is the only warm room design there.
If a room isn't warm and inviting then it isn't nice.
4 is GHASTLY
far too small and cramped - not every1 can fit in there and have their own space
also how do u not get bored of having "classic" room designs it happens frequently
-
anyway as some1 said already.. room design 2 with elements of layout 5.
e.g. the desk itself in 2 should be the same as 5 and the xmas tree in 2 should be the same as in 5.
then just try and recreate the general interial layout of 5 as it all works very nicely

I just can't help but feel that it's far too early for Christmas :( but I really don't want a classic design, Yawn; is right we have them far too frequently I feel. I would love if we could use the design of that Christmas room a user posted recently

The classic design is never done properly. Just because you have throne sofas in a room, doesn't make it classic. Christmas is full of tradition and so the HxHD should reflect that. None of the other layouts feel any where near as warm or inviting. The room can be made larger and keep the same theme.

I don't remember the last time we had a classic design, but we've had cabins for the past like 3 or 4 YEARS almost non stop. That's far more boring and samey, as well as being an ugly dull theme to begin with

Having a smaller room in itself makes the room more warm. I'd actually ban or rather not use the larger rooms for the Help Desk as it is supposed to be an intimate meeting place and having people close together encourages conversation rather than people sitting miles away and the room looking empty. I don't understand the people demanding huge rooms, since when was HxHD ever that packed that we needed 50/50 and seating space for everyone?
Totally agree with FlyingJesus; aswell. Only change to Layout 4 I would make is swapping the Mochamaster for a Russian Samovar. :P

Voted layout 2 but I'd be happy with layout 4 too
They're all quite nice but all VERY similar. Four gets my vote simply because of intimacy because that never happens in the help desk anymore -- you may want to reconsider the pillows or their colour though! ;)

Vote 2, but I'd be happy with 2 or 5
I always wanted to make a cute santas workshop layout. I have a rough vision, and it would be something a bit diff from the usual cabin layout. Just gonan be hard with no furn in bc yet and so don't have the patience to find it in shops lol Plebings; you would be perf for this!! x thms;

was that really 2012, that's insane I remember that layout so well.
It's nearly half way through November, if we had a non-christmassy layout we'd have it for about 15 days then it would be changed again. There should be a default layout for situations like this - have everyone vote for a default one and then for times where there's isn't an occasion/season etc etc we just have the default one.

yup gone so quick! Yea I don't know why we are having this so soon. End of Nov is fine! And I think yours looks way better in person Alex. Once it has a few rugs down it will look more cosy!! And also that number four layout we have had it Numerous times!!!

Small =\= intimate. If you spread out seating it encourages cliques to form and discourages people from joining the larger groups. This is a control tactic in design in public spaces irl but it can be applied here just as well. So long as all seating is together and there's not enough space around the floor for people form groups, it means that everybody must so together and in turn fosters a more friendly atmosphere for the room. I do like layout 2, I just don't like the idea of every1 being so spread out :( if it comes to a decider feel free to change my vote! I probably won't visit the room much anyway.
also a big fat no to "default" seasonal layouts pls!! There's new things released each year for a reason! Would be nice to see a default help desk in general though.

I don't get why people are concerned about using classic styles "again" and then advocate for using cabins when we last had classic in like 2011 and we have cabins for about half the year every year since they came out. Even what we have now is basically a recoloured cabin
Cabin is so ugly and overused! I prefer old school layouts with good ol lodge tbh!
Would of been nice to see someone design a whole desk with it and not just post a old layout, but maybe used that layout as inspiration and made a slight bigger version!
