Charlie Sheen will sit down for a interview with Matt Lauer on Today Tuesday morning.

NBC News announced that Sheen will be making a 'revealing personal announcement' but did not provide any further details of what he and Lauer would be discussing.

Sheen, 50, has spent most of the past year out of the spotlight and has not appeared on television since his show Anger Management went off the air in 2014 save a guest appearance on the ABC comedy The Goldbergs in February.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Sheen is HIV positive.

'Charlie had sex with multiple partners since learning his HIV status without informing them of his potentially deadly HIV infection,' a source told the Enquirer.

Another source said; 'Charlie hired escorts, and him being HIV-positive never entered these women’s minds.

'The fact is, he was playing Russian roulette with their lives, while the women were playing Russian roulette with the prospect of becoming pregnant by Sheen, and being set for life.'

The Enquirer is also reporting that one of the women who was allegedly exposed settled a civil action against the actor after retaining Gloria Allred as her lawyer.

When I read the rumour article on the Daily Mail the other week he was one of the names going around to be rumoured so not that all surprised. What makes it more shocking as a story is that he's straight and has contacted HIV which is quite rare especially among the rich and famous.

CHARLIE Sheen has been revealed to be the Hollywood actor diagnosed as HIV-positive, a major US website claims.
The star is set to talk to America’s Today programme in the morning about his condition but US website Radar has revealed his identity ahead of his appearance.
Speculation was mounting Sheen was to be named this week by a US magazine as the mystery Holywood star living with the disease.
But producers of the breakfast show, Today, took to Twitter to announce they were interviewing the actor.
News of the interview led RadarOnline and its sister magazine the National Enquirer to name the actor today.

that is the case but if you only want to talk about statistics, then black people in the US are more likely than whites to commit murder & robberies. but i doubt it elicits a knee-jerk response of 'shock' in you when you see the mugshot of some white guy on the news.

stats aside it's a negative stereotype that's perpetuated by comments like that, and it causes a lot of prejudice against people due to the mistakes of others. that being said, those within the gay community itself do have a long way to go with educating younger people about this.

as it happens though, i don't sense any hatred towards people with HIV in british society at all. that's my own observation. i know of distant family stories from years ago (in the late 80s and 90s) regarding gay family members with HIV stigma but that was decades ago. attitudes have changed enormously towards this disease.

Really??) that has too many capital letters on the front page to count and the Daily Mail. Not saying it's untrue but I am fairly certain that this will not be bad as the "NATIONAL ENQUIRER!!!" are making it out to be...

you can't deny that it's a huge turning point in someone's life that could potentially have an impact on one's sense of self, mental health etc. i would be devastated and lord knows what i'd do. he said he was diagnosed about 4 years ago, which coincides with the time he was going on about bi-winning and asking his bosses for more money (i guess to stop people spreading rumours because he was worried about his career), so i'm sure it had an impact on him. there's also this;

"In a letter to Lauer written before his appearance, Sheen said of his life after learning of his diagnosis; 'In and around this perplexing and difficult time I dazedly choose or hired the companionship of unsavory or insipid types. Because I was so depressed by the condition I was in I was doing a lot of drugs. I was drinking. And I was making really bad decisions,' said Sheen.

In another passage from the letter Sheen wrote to Lauer, the actor said of the his state after being diagnosed; 'The personal disbelief, karmic confusion, shame and anger led to a temporary yet abysmal descent into profound substance abuse and fathomless drinking.'
Lauer asked if Sheen's behavior in early 2011 when he did a slew of interviews with almost every major network in which he claimed to have 'tiger blood' and be a 'ninja assassin from Mars' was a result of learning about his diagnosis.
'I wish I could blame it on that but that was more of a 'roid rage,' said Sheen.
'But this was on the heels of that I would say.'
