Thank you to everyone who made a suggestion towards which charity we should donate to this year.

Below is a short summarized description of each charity and this poll allows you to only vote for one of the below options. The poll will close on the 26th of November at 11:59 GMT and if we are faced with a tie then a second poll will be created.

ataxia - http://www.ataxia.org.uk/

Ataxia is a group of neurological conditions which cause a degree of disability and problems with physical co-ordination such as walking, balance, writing, speech, sight and swallowing. Over 10,000 people in the UK have a form of ataxia and there is currently no cure. The Ataxia foundation has done a lot to help understand and hopefully fight against Ataxia in the future and conduct on-going research. Their goal is to find a cure for Ataxia by 2020.

PSP Association - http://www.pspassociation.org.uk/

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a Parkinson’s-like neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. Over time this leads to difficulties with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing. With no current treatment or cure, the PSP Association offers help and support for those suffering from the debilitating disease and puts any donations towards researching and finding effective treatment and even a cure.

Centrepoint - http://centrepoint.org.uk/

Centrepoint provides a safe place to live for more than 7,800 young people, aged 16-25, every year in London and the north east of England. Their support system isn't limited to housing but also includes health carers and educational officers who help with everything from CV writing and interview techniques to equipping people with IT skills and BTEC qualifications.

The Huntington's Disease Association - http://hda.org.uk/

Huntington's disease is an inherited condition that damages certain nerve cells in the brain. This brain damage gets progressively worse over time and can affect movement, cognition (perception, awareness, thinking, judgement) and behaviour. UK research carried out in 2012 found that 12 out of every 100,000 people are affected by the disease and is a lot more than previously thought. There's no cure for Huntington's disease and its progress cannot be reversed or slowed down and therefore donations assist in finding treatments and a cure.

Rainbow Trust - https://rainbowtrust.org.uk/

Rainbow Trust supports over 25% of the 6,000 families in England who have a child aged 0-18 years of age with a life threatening or terminal illness and need the bespoke support they offer. Rainbow Trust support the whole family 24/7, 365 days a year, regardless of diagnosis. Providing emotional and practical support for families who have a seriously ill child, their vision is for all families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness to have access to a Rainbow Trust carer at this time of great need.

Mind - http://www.mind.org.uk/

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding and won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect. Any donations received go towards furthering support for mental health sufferers as well as their families and loved ones, with the sole aim of promoting awareness.

Wallace & Gromit's Childrens Charity - https://wallaceandgromitcharity.org/

Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity is a national charity raising funds to improve the lives of sick children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. Since 2003, Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity has given over £2 million in grants to 291 projects in 93 different hospitals and hospices, providing life-saving medical equipment, free family accommodation, a range of arts, music and play therapy programmes, sensory equipment and facilities and respite care. They fund projects that ensure that whilst in hospital and hospice care, children can still play, socialise and recuperate from treatment in a child-friendly environment.

Obviously gone for the one I suggested (Centrepoint) but for the first time ever we have a full list of decent charities without RSPCA woooooooooo so will be happy for my money to go to any of these realistically.

Voted for Ataxia, all deserving but for me it was between Ataxia or Mind and since Mind has been chosen before I went with Ataxia.

Was torn between Ataxia and the Wallace and Gromit one, would've voted both if i had the power ;)

but i went for the wallace&gromit one in the end because childrens charities like that are quite close to my heart

Would be quite happy if either won though tbh! They both seem like really good causes

Can't remember what I picked, it was close between a few of them as they sounded quite similar but I think I went for PSP.

I voted Ataxia. I would have also gone with Mind had I been able to vote for more than one, though they're all incredibly deserving causes. I think we're giving to Mind at work this year instead of doing a secret santa, which is pretty cool.

This poll closes tonight at 11:59 GMT (or just a tiny bit after!) meaning today is the last chance to vote. The winning charity will receive all proceeds from the sale of our Christmas VIP.
