To keep in with the five year tradition of Sexuality Threads, I have decided to make a newer version due to a large amount of members who voted being no longer active on the Forum. Of course there is the option to can change/revoke your vote should you wish.

You can find the old version here. (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=623406)

If you would like to see more options added to the poll please contact an Admin!

I feel like you should have added an "other" option instead or alongside them. I've always been confused how pansexual is really a thing. To me it seems like it's just the same as bisexual except you don't care how they behave.

I'll add other if you think

About 3 years ago I met a girl on Habbo (hahaha) who identified as pansexual
straight away everything she said about the sexuality sort of made sense and clicked
she said her partner at the time who was trans preferred the sexuality pans as he feared that bisexuality was too limited to the attraction to cis and feared that outing himself to said girl would stop her even liking him. He knew that she identified as pans and was confident that she wouldn't judge. I had some deep convos in that virtual starbucks.

Anyway I added those 2 because I identify as one and the other is something I've always thought about and know that others identify as it here on habbox.

That sort of makes sense but I thought the whole point about being trans is that you didn't/don't feel comfortable as a male/female, so you make the change to become female/male, i.e. switching from one sex to the other which would still fall under the traditional "bisexual" definition. I'd have thought the last thing those people want is to be reminded they do not biologically fall under what they wish to be.

I feel like getting reminded is something that happens on a daily basis anyway DESPITE IT BEING 2K15
but idk i've always just gone with pans if anyone asks unless I felt too awkward to say it

there have been picks for the 2 i've added so i will leave them

My best friend is pan. She identified as bi for absolutely years because she didn't really know pan was a thing, but ultimately she decided she would totally bang someone who had changed their gender and that it didn't faze her in the slightest.

01-12-2015, 12:24 AM
I used to think pan and bi were different things but realistically pansexual is just a way for people to pretend they're somehow more accepting and progressive than others around them. "Trans" isn't a gender (since a trans person becomes one or the other, and referring to them exclusively as trans is really rude and erasive) and in any case the binary referred to in "bisexual" is to do with sex, not gender

I agree with you, mostly. The only real difference is that, in my own assumption, people who are bi might not be sexually/romantically interested in someone who is not the gender that they were born with, perhaps. Her logic is that she would totally be in to someone who changed their gender and that it wouldn't bother them, whereas a bisexual person would perhaps prefer somebody who is the same gender they've always been. If that makes sense. And doesn't sound wholly insulting. Oops.

i agree with FlyingJesus;, you can only be bisexual because there are only really 2 genders to be sexually attracted to (intersex is a mix of two genders but you would still fancy an intersex person because they look male or female and not alien). it's funny that bisexual people are thought to be transphobic and pansexuals are high and mighty because they "also fancy transgenders" which is transphobic in itself because transgenders ARE male or female. sure some bisexual people may not want to date a transgender but do we have a seperate sexuality for straight people who don't want to date transgenders of the opposite sex? lol

it's hard to explain but it's kind of annoying to be called transphobic when we're the ones that acknowledge there are only 2 genders, not male, female AND transgender. people are biologically male and female, you're attracted to their looks, not what they identify as, so that includes transgender, agender and genderfluid.

Remind me to rep you for this later. Fantastic way of putting it!

It does seem like a lot of pan people use it to make themselves more special than bisexual people - I've only ever met 1 pan person IRL and she said that it was because of the trans or androgyny thing. I understand that some people genuinely believe they have multiple identities or head systems or whatever but realistically there are 2 genders - wherever you are on the scale bisexual seems to cover it IMO.

I'm bisexual which apparently a lot of people don't know, discovered it after the last sexuality thread I think! I'm fairly open about it although not fully out of the closet with my parents.

No matter at how you look at bi or pansexuality, just remember that one time, I had a straight friend called George who wouldn't go to Starbucks with me once because he wasn't gay, and I think that really justifies how THICK PEOPLE CAN BE SOMETIMEES JUST

I'm bisexual and I wouldn't care if I was dating someone who is changing their gender/who did change their gender. I didn't even know there was a word for it but it reeks of special snowflake syndrome. "Look at me! I am better than you. Look at me!" (see also: most viral stunts on social media).

pansexuality is also for those who may be attracted to those who are intersex or who identify as genderqueer / dual gendered. it may be similar to bisexuality in some ways but a lot of people who are pans look at is as being attracted to all people without gender coming into the equation which i can totally understand and respect.

doesn't make sense that bisexual people wouldn't fancy a gender queer person? they look physically male or female, as do intersex people. if a straight female person fancies a gender queer male, does that make them pansexual?

i call myself bisexual cause i fancy people irregardless of gender... but if people wanna call themselves pansexual, aslong as they don't say it's because they fancy transgender/non-binary people and bisexuals don't.

exactly. it's all about wanting to belong to the smallest 'victim group' going and feeling #triggered when someone calls them out.
