Back when I was in high school, probably about 4 years ago now, one of my "friends" decided it would be a fantastic idea to stab me in the arm with his pencil during sports class. But not to worry, my other friend was there to make the most of the situation and said "Quick, someone get him some pencillin!". I was in quite a lot of pain but even I found that quite funny.

For this competition, I would like you to tell me a situation in which you can make a dreadfully funny pun. Best one will win!

My mate stayed over at my house because he was sad that his girlfriend broke up with him after a pretty long relationship and I thought I'd be a good mate and make sure he was alright. We woke up and made pancakes and while we at he was telling me about how he misses his girl and it was so unexpected and he said "I hate my life" and as I was about to spread butter on my pancake I quickly replied "I'm sorry but don't worry it'll get butter" and we laughed because it was so stupid

Me and one of my managers always tries to make the worst pun to each other when we're both in! Whether it be 'leaf me alone' when leaves blew in from outside, or saying I was 'small and mighty' when I was moving some Persil Small and Mighty washing detergent around.

This one time, I found a dump stock that someone had left on a random shelf and I was already laughing at this point - it was a hand figurine (one of those to put rings on and other jewellery for safe keeping). My manager was coming out of the back where the office was, I had it in my hand and was laughing and that set him off laughing before I even said the pun. I walked up to him and said "I've got to hand it to you Matt" (whilst holding out the hand to him) and he thought it was the funniest thing ever :D.
