Oh I feel so hopeful today. It was 15 C yesterday and I was outside in a shirt, today the sun is shining and my daffodils are all poking through the grass and coming up really fast. I was checking sunset times too and in a day or two sunset will be back to 4 o'clock and by the end of January it'll be at 5 o'clock.

Everything is getting better.

As someone who despises winter this all makes me very happy. :8

BUT saying that, I can't wait for a cold spurt in February when it'll remember that we haven't really had a winter this year.

True but I don't mind that cold snap you know as long as the days are getting longer, it's the darkness that depresses the hell out of me. :P

I've heard loads of birds chirping in the trees lately too it is sounding like Spring already.

Over in our part of the world it's been the coolest start to Summer in decades. Normally we are in the mid 30s by November and it doesn't drop until March. Christmas Eve was 25 and Christmas day was 27. Only now has it started hitting 39-40.

I think the world is broke.

It's not even been that much of a cold winter to be honest. I've missed it - I wanted the ice, frost and maybe a bit of snow here and there. But at the moment it's just been rain, lots of rain. Which then results in lots of flooding.
