If you have pets, how long do they roughly have left alive going by average life span?

I have two guinea pigs and they live an average 5 years. One will be 5 in the next few months and I think the other is 3 or 4 years old.

How about you?

I had two dogs, one died last year. The one left is 14 so I highly doubt she has long left.

No idea and I don't really want to think about it. Death is just depressing and negative.

I wanna say 9 years but isn't that just how many lives it has??

Our labrador is 3 atm so going by average she has 10 years left and the pomeranian which is 2 has 14 years left. Obviously I've gone for the higher end of the average ages. What kind of thread is this to make?????????

such a morbid question / horrible thing to think about. pebbles' dad is still alive and i know a yorkshire terrier that is still alive at 26 apparently, so i have high hopes she has more than a few years left in her

i hope pebbles lives forever

Saffy is 4 and a half so hopefully she'll have a long time left in her. Even though she's still young sometimes the thought of her dying actually keeps me awake at night because I'd miss her so much lol :(

This thread has made me sad and it's fucking weird. What a morbid question :S

My guinea pig has days if not a week or two left now funnily enough. Her back legs have stopped working, fur on back is falling out and what I think is a tumour on her front arm is growing in size. She is nearly 5 though so it's time for her to go, just keeping her comfortable for now as she's not in pain atm.

Let's hope she just passes so I save £24 for the vets putting her down. :P
