Have you ever invested in something in order to make a profit? It may be selling sweets in school or stock market shares.

I've turned my savings into real silver coins.

How about you?

hasn't the price of silver gone from like $16 to $14 in the past 3 months?

haven't followed its a long term thing, besides bought a while back

given currencies are constantly decreasing silver/metals will only go on an upward trend

When I was at senior school I used to buy a pack of cigarettes for like £3 (back when they were cheaper) and sell them for 50p each.

The profit went on the usual crap that teenagers buy. Not really an investment though.

I guess buying my accounting course was an investment, as hopefully I'll get up and start making some nice wonga p/a.

Gold and silver are going down and down and down at the moment, if this is a whim that you've picked up because you just like the idea of having silver coins it may be better to wait for a time when its price is more stable :P
In school my friend and I used to cut out the pictures from the back pages of shit newspapers where all the hookers advertise and sell them to the (other) pathetic 12 year olds who wanted to see boobies. Good times

Oh no I have no intention of selling at the moment. It's more an emergency thing if the day ever comes when fiat money collapses.

But the coins and bars do look very cool. :P

I have shares in a few places but not physical investments.. I also agree that investing in metals atm is risky, IIRC it's been really low since like 2012 and doesn't show great signs of improvements? Well, not right now anyway, not until silver stocks start to dry up (which is a long time to wait for a return)

Inseriousity.

I'd love to invest in shares but think I'd be really crap at it and pick a ton of duds lmao.
I tend to just save instead.

I loaned 3k and will make a couple of hundred from it when I get it (as opposed to having 3k just sitting in a bank waiting to be used). Easy money.
