In 2 weeks I will be having my birthday for the first time in 24 years without my family and I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet!

What do you normally do on your birthdays?

nothing cause everyone's saving for christmas or work nights outs.... so never ever had "birthday drinks"! usually would just be like a takeaway bought by my mum and some cake. this year we went to Scott's parents n had cake lol.

I don't celebrate my birthdays at all really. It's really sad and I do always get a cake and have presents but I don't do anything with my friends. I know I've had birthday parties before but I was too young to remember any of them. I'm lame :'(

I usually go to Bridlington for the day around that time, we have a Chinese on my actual birthday or Wetherspoons, sometimes I'll do something like going bowling with my boyfriend and sister etc. too.

A few of my friends and myself included all have birthdays in June/July so we normally go on holiday or go away for a few days at the end of June to celebrate everyone's birthdays otherwise it gets too confusing organising something to do like every week, let alone the expense of it all!

I forgot to add that I don't even get cake on my birthday, can't even remember the last time I blew out my candles! I think the last cake I had was before I liked chocolate cake at all so I never even got a piece; I have my auntie make me a trifle instead and I love it more than a cake :D.

WELL since 2013 I've been lucky enough to spend my bdays on holiday in the sun which is lovely as i really enjoy spending time with my grandma and aunty so
but basically my grandma is pretty chilled so she gives me the option to do whatever i want
last august we went on a drive down to this cute little village and bought some nice things
basically a cobbled street with shops on either side, was a really nice day out though
then when we got back we went for a meal at the local restaurant (if you have me on fb you might have seen the restaurant im talking about)
and the country is like one that doesn't celebrate birthdays so they dont really have cakes in boxes like we do (u go to a man in a shop, say u want a cake and he does it for you for special occasions like weddings)
like over there you don't have a massive tesco
their massive tescos are like our tesco metros with less products so
my grandma does have candles though from when she was in england so we bought an ice cream and used that instead ;)

but in former years we use to just relax, watch tv and go for a meal really
when i was younger i use to go to this like place with my friends as a party kind of thing but it was like a big soft play area thing idk what it's called but yeah
i like bdays cos it's an excuse to get together with family
i love family time

90% of the time I do nothing on the actual day, but move my party plans to the weekend. Even then its pretty tame!

Nah, I normally just let it pass. It's honestly just another day and they weren't really celebrated growing up, so I never really got into it.

At least he has money to spend
Lol, oh yeah. Loads of money to spend on bills and such. Lol

Some say money doesnt buy happiness. In my world it does ;)
Money does buy happiness to an extent, but it's honestly just a great thing to have friends and family to be there. That's true happiness.

I don't really do much, maybe a drink or two but I'm past the point of celebrating it now. I feel I'm getting to the ages that I don't fancy celebrating.

Aww yeah I get that. I think a lot of people think of their birthday in that way. Did you celebrate it when you were a child?

Mine and a few of my friends birthdays are all in June and July so we normally all go on holiday somewhere in the middle to celebrate together however actually on the day, normally at work then go put for a meal and drinks with the family.
