what kind of neighbourhood do you live in?

what kind of neighbourhood do you live in? not in terms of the people but like the houses, streets and environment?

i live in a largely Victorian neighbourhood which is mainly terraced streets dating back 140 years or so. the area was obviously built up in the industrial revolution and was built thanks to the Liverpool/Bootle dockyards for workers and managers of the docks.

it's also a leafy area with a lot of old streets which i adore.

how about you what's your area like and how old etc?

Used to live in Penge and it was all trampy and not nice. I live in a quiet place now, near the seaside. No old buildings really

I live on the street that joins onto the worst (or used to be worst) street in my town. There are two parts of the street (or lane) I live on, there are terraced houses, which I live in, then you go round the corner and you have all the detached and semi detached posher houses.

in da suburbs lol just in a really family friendly neighbourhood close to schools, & the beach & parks

my parents live in a nice community area where everyone knows each other and stuff it's lovely I love it
then i live in a similar place but this place doesn't have that many mountains and this place has a beach ;)

but yeah, both my parents and my house are in the same sort of nice neighbourhood

I live in a teeny tiny lil village which WAS mainly populated by older families (like most of the kids here are now in uni) and elderly, but theyve just built a new set of houses sigh so now there's loads of young families with young kids cos we have a school in the centre of the village ;l

i was such a tiny nice place full of really old houses til they built that set of houses ;l its a nice place to live though i love it. people assume it's a rich area to live tho (which its not) so we get a lot of burglaries here

I live in a small village with some older more village looking houses with some more not so village looking houses but these this
one really modern house in the middle of the village which I hate it just ruins the feel and look of the place and looks really out of
place but then we do have a nice barn with an original thatched roof and surround by nice fields.

I live in a suburban cul de sac (is that what dead end roads are called?? :S) which is a very desirable area. When my parents first bought the house thirty years ago it was too far out of town and worth very little but then the city grew and now we get people knocking on our door asking if we're thinking of selling our house it's great (h)

And I'm not sure but I think the house is about 80 years old so not very old at all! Very nice and roomy; perfect for families (which we are now not).

My suburb is quite an up-and-coming area with a new hospital creating heaps of jobs. The uni 5 mins from the road means there's lots of students and families around and there's a theme park across the lake. Mostly older houses but still quite nice.
