lol not been impressed with this concept. Whenever the mods have discussed it it always looks overcomplicated. probably going to leave it for a few weeks and just work on my current target of 99 crafting/magic

It is expensive.... and slow. Still not really sure what to do, I'm level 20 now. I've just been making weapon gizmos and then getting the perks and dismantling.

Alot has changed since day of release, best method to train it now is to augment disposable weapons/armour (barrows, crystal weapons) level them up to level 10 and then disasemble for 540k xp per item (completely losing the item) so crystal halberd goes for around 1m currently, level this to 10 and destroy it for the 540k xp and you're looking at about 2gp/xp which is incredibly cheap. Leveling items takes around 1h 30 mins or so.

no you buy a weapon you don't mind losing when it's level 10, for example a crystal halberd. you first use augmentor on it so it becomes a augmented crystal halberd, then you add 2 weapon gizmo's to it which will give the weapon either positive or negative buffs. now basically all you do is kill mobs with this weapon to level it up. and it takes around 1 hour 30 mins to get it to level 10 (which is the minimum level needed to breakdown the weapon for maximum xp) you can also do this with armour, so I suggest barrows armour or something which isn't too expensive.

And about people getting 99 in 1 day, that's what they nerfed, basically pre-nerf the best thing to do was make ton of gizmos which I think you said you was doing and then just disassemble them and redo. :p

Depends what you enjoy in rs, the skill itself can either be very grindy or it can be trained with slayer making it alot less repetitive and more enjoyable. the end game content of invention isn't amazing right now as the perks are pretty shit to say the least, but jagex have said they're going to be bringing out more invention content in the coming months.

I'm level 45 now, disassembled two items. Took way longer than 1 hour 30, took me like 4-5 hours. Though I am just training at Jadinkos.. Any better easy monsters I can train melee on? marine;

For the 1h 30 min's you need to be doing the best combat methods, for magic muspahs or the abyss are the best, melee is either airuts, bandos gwd or sara encampment and range i'm unsure of.

I've struggled to get 2m in the time you've got 36m :'(
