what do you pay for a haircut

went down to my mate's in london and went with him as he got his hair done, was a hipster place but nothing like special think it was in shoreditch/by hackney anyway said it cost him like £18 for a haircut. and there i am paying £7 a pop for an equally as good haircut

that said my mates at home i know will get haircuts in trendy barbers (that seems to be a big thing now like beer etc with your haircut) and pay like £18 a haircut. i think it's mad unless you're looking for something high maintainence

how about you

About £30 for a cut & blow dry but I think that's more normal for girls haha!

Only get it done once or twice a year though, try to wait until I have a voucher or they have a special offer!

I never really know as our hairdresser is family and she comes to our house and cuts all our hair in one sitting! I could easily get it done for £5-7 in town, but I think for convenience we pay that bit more.

I used to pay £8 at a typical barbers and was really happy with them, but then they employed this new guy who ended up cutting my hair and he had no clue what he was doing, literally.. he used the hairdryer on my hair when it was dry, and towards and end he used the spray bottle thing so I left with wet hair! Then the next time I went I was lucky enough to have him cut my hair again - he didn't make the same mistake as last time with the hairdryer/spray bottle, but it was still a terrible haircut.

That was about 2 years ago. Since then I've been going somewhere else where the cost is £13-16 depending on whether the student discount deal is on or not.

For just a cut, around or just over £35 - I'm pretty glad that places set prices from length mainly, and not amount of hair. While I have thin hair, I have a ridiculous amount of it that knots easily. Just a trim makes the floor look as though someone has shaved their entire head.

£15 but as I've come to know the guy who I always go to he ends up charging me seemingly less and less each time, so I always tip the difference.
