Sunday is my chores day usually so I'm 100% fed up RN :( Been ironing for a while and I don't mind it usually but I was so bored. Definitely the worst part about living alone is doing all your chores

Do you do chores? Which ones do you hate or don't mind?

personally my 'fav' chore is ironing and least fav is cleaning the bathroom.

I end up doing most of the cleaning in my house though lately, it suuuucks :( as Mrs_Plant; well knows ahahhaha

i do the dishes, wash the clothes and clean every room. i also do the shopping through the day. scott does the hoovering/mopping and puts the bins out. whoever is home first does the cooking. i hate ironing so i don't do it - our electric clothes hanger gets all creases out. i rly don't have a fave chore hate it all lol but do a big clean 1x a week. im always getting on at scott to do more chores lol especially as it tires me out so i half-arse it.

I love cleaning the bathroom! Always feel so satisfied when I'm done.

I do "chores" but I would never think to call them that, I just think of it as housework/cleaning the house? I normally clean the kitchen/dining room area on Sundays, clean up the bathrooms, cook a few times a week, write the shopping list (and sometimes do the shopping if my mum doesn't want to/doesn't remember), set and clear the tables at the end of meals, do the drying up (our lodger likes doing the washing) and empty the dishwasher.

I guess I don't mind doing it that much but I hate it when my mum reminds me. Even if I was just about to stand up and empty the dishwasher, if she comes in and says "the dishwasher needs emptying :/" I am instantly annoyed and it becomes such a drag.

The one thing I refuse to do is put the bins out because there might be snails on them.

I know it's sad ok but if I were really really rich all of a sudden one of the first things I'd do is buy one of those steam cleaners so I could just like tshhhhh all the limescale that builds up in the cracks between the tiles and seals in the bathrooms and things

It would be so lovely I'm imagining it right now ahhh

i do the dishes all the time i feel like that's what my life consists of, as well as wipe down the kitchen most nights cause it's attached to my dining room which is MY area for chilling in, nothing i hate more than changing my bedding though i'd rather die

i've gotten into the habit where i clean the entire flat most days, it's easy because we live in such a teeny tiny place so can take me like 2 - 3 hours to sort it. we only ever iron when we might be going out somewhere nice, else there's no need as it'll get wrinkly in wardrobe (as mine is too full) or all creased from being folded

i quite enjoy doing the bathroom and that's definitely my place to clean usually, least fave is doing the dishes because it hurts my nails

Really don't mind chores for the most part. I'll just shove some music, a film or a TV show on at the same time. The only time I dislike it is when the mess was completely avoidable or should have been cleaned up when it was made like if someone spills a bit of tomato sauce on the side DON'T JUST LEAVE IT THERE, wipe it up immediately! I outright refuse to clean this kind of mess up if it was made by someone else. For example, one of my housemates left loads of fat from their grill on the side about 2 weeks ago and only cleaned it up about 1 week ago. 1 week of agony wanting it gone, but refusing to clean it up.

yes but if you do that too often they will think it is okay to leave things unclean because they expect someone else to do it!

yeah my mum always gets mad because she says there's no such thing as the tidy fairy because they're her!

even though I seem to clean up after her most of the time these days because she says she's too busy :/ dunno what she's too busy doing though

We have cleaners, but they dont clean... They just empty the bins, make our beds. Pretty useless.

So we have to clean up, I may hire someone to do my ironing though ;l

I haven't done chores for years as I don't really live at home. I still have to do things but that's because I have to.
