Hey guys,

Just so you know, we've just released V1! It went off with a bang and it looks amazing, that good even Dez from ThisHabbo has given it a decent review on his website!

www.madhabbo.com is our website! If you want to check it out, we're really friendly :)

It looks nice, but appears quite generic and doesn't really stand out from the crowd. Perhaps think about offering something that other fansites dont? Good luck with it :)

Currently looking into doing an integration, speaking with Dez and Optra from ThisHabbo atm and they're giving us some ideas :) Thanks for the feedback though!

Lmao nice graphics staff you have there. You seem to have a bloated admin team for such little staff and you seem to spread thinly. Should try to do one thing well in my opinion, but good luck.

Yeah it looks quite nice actually, I'm pleasantly surprised because normally people show us some complete rubbish and I feel too mean to tell the truth because they're obviously really proud of it.

But yeah as others have said, that looks like a very top-heavy staff list you've got there. And five forum moderators?? They'll be lucky if they get more than one log a week. Hx has two to three normally but tbh even Cerys and I can be stretched to meet minimums on some of the quieter months.

What are minimums for mods

This is currently what we have set for them, Because the site is so small, we integrated Forum Events with the Moderation Department

Increase post count by 30
Create a forum event
Moderate 3 posts/threads
Advertise/Promote the forum on Habbo four times
Be on the forum daily.
Look over the forum and see if there is anything you think would be nice to add to forum.

Seems easy enough as all staff are able to complete them, ever since the review of the site from Dez we've had a few ups and downs with users, meaning that the moderators have been fairly active recently.

All in all, thanks for the feedback :P

Ohh I thought I replied to this this morning but obv it didn't work

What are minimums for mods
Er I genuinely don't know. All I know is for reports we get like good/excellent/unacceptable etc. but I don't actually know what the boundaries are.

MarkD; I've noticed you now want to have three General Administrators for Radio, Events & Community - what does this mean exactly? Sounds like they'd pretty much just be department managers with admin panels :S
What do your Senior admins do too?

Sorry, it just really interests me!!

When I was there they had multiple GA for overlooking dept just like our Content and Community GM.

Hope all is well at MadHabbo as well Mark!

Looks cool, and although people are knocking the fact you have so many staff and management, that's actually a smart move.

Most people on Habbox got into Habbox properly by being staff, and there is a core community who still do that. What you're trying to do is create that core community of people, and then you know others will come along which is what happened here... So I think that's a wise move in the long term. Short term, obv it's a new fansite but there really is nothing different between your website and many other fansites, hell there's even a free template I just found on HxF that looks similar to your website (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=794693) but I digress!

All the best of luck, don't take any hassle from other fansites it's a losing war as a new fansite, just try to fit in and keep your site running. You'll do well if you stick to it, but if you don't then at least pass it onto people that will take care of the community because that's one thing Habbox has done very well, and that's why one of the longest running fansite.

Also fix the font in the advertisement images, is that Times New Roman? Come on it's lazy :P

That's something I never agreed on Tommy, that's been wiped out of context now xD Hated that choice from the start

What do you mean exactly with the ", hell there's even a free template I just found on HxF that looks similar to your website"

We used that for a Very Very short while, 2 weeks if that, and then went on to coding our actual V1!

and I completely agree with you on most of that paragraph!

I've updated the font to Tahoma anyway!

That's an open source service status system.. that's as stupid as saying anyone using vBulletin, shoutcast, joomla/drupal/wordpress, etc is ripping.

I find it hillarious when people like you @iRaaave. come online just to cause drama! So funny. Yup, we totally ripped HabboX with the Opensource Free Program called Cachet. I spoke to Matt personally via Skype as I ran into a few bugs setting it up. I initially used for just my company I run, however decided due to the ease-of-use I would use it for MadHabbo as well. Sure we've been labelled by some fansites as a "copier, taking the best of each fansite, not being original" but at least what we implement works. I'm in the process of customising that status system to suite further requirements we have, but that's all happening over the coming months.

@iRaaave. If you want to start ripping into my site, how about I go through everything about yours. Like how you're a new fansite already on v9, how your previous forum skin (http://cravehabboforums.com/?styleid=14) was a badly edited version of HabboX's Habboxed skin (a forum skin leaked by people from the company PureVB I think it was called) but still poorly edited and don't get me started on the new forum skin (http://cravehabboforums.com/?styleid=18).

Two way street... you rip into my site, I'll rip twice as hard into yours. Take care Felica!

I love what @scottish said, as it's so very true, and as such I have +REPed him and quoted him below.

Having too many Admins will turn into very little soon as we're getting more and more staff by the day.

Why on earth would you have 11 admins?

Went to one of your events and your staff were arguing with each other. The site is quite boring in the way that it doesn't offer anything new. But I wish you the best of luck with it

The site looks alright but your paddings are really off all over the place. You really ought to sort it out tbh as it ruins the design. You really should get the content at least 5px within the width of the headers and then also have at least 10px padding at the top from the header aswell as it looks a bit of a mess right now.

There's also problems with the coding in terms of the radio box not ending properly - it looks like it's supposed to go somewhere below it but doesn't. The bottom of the page needs a gap as it ends suddenly and there's a problem with the box after the top white box.

Good luck with it tho, it looks better than 95% of the stuff on here/

Back in the day, there wasn't really a site around that hadn't based their theme off one of your freebies on HabboEmotion.

I agree with the comment regarding padding and some bad use of space, and the margin at the bottom of the page would make a huge difference to the design too. I have passed several comments on to Andy at MadHabbo, fingers crossed it all gets perfected.

No bother, I just come on from time to time when I'm usually bored tbh. I forgot about them free themes, haven't done vBulletin stuff for at least 5 years now.

Hope you fix it, looks better than most of the stuff that's posted on these days tbh - good luck with it :)
