i'm planning on moving away for uni so i'll defo miss my parents then but they're really overprotective of me so i guess it'll be nice for some freedom

but after that i have no clue when i'll really move out

Im still at home with mum and will be for another year while i do this foundation year at uni but im hoping to move out after that. The idea seems fun at first but then i remember im gonnna have to do my own shopping...my own ironing cooking aint a problem i normal have to cook for my niece and nephew. Then i worry about leaving mum alone with being the youngest of 3 with them both moving out (not far tbh they both live 10mins away) and given my fathers no longer well....living she would be on her own but I've gotta get my independence

Sort of. At uni so bouncing back and forth over the year and I suspect I will be back when uni is done, for a short while anyway. I very much like living on my own to be honest, the extra freedom is great.

no thank god!!! so many of my problems have been solved since living away from my mum, i had been trying to get a job and leave for like a year before i finally did. literally on my last ever day of university, i left without having a job or telling much people! but i get on better with my mum now ive moved out. im staying there this weekend and ive visited her once since i moved (last may) but she's been down here. she's coming here in june too. so see each other every couple months.

I do, but I'm temporarily moving out in May as I'll be moving to Shresbury for a placement position that'll last a year. I'm looking forward to a bit more freedom. I don't suppose I'll miss anything until I actually realise I don't have them anymore.

I moved out when I was 18 and all the freedom was great but realising how expensive it is wasn't so great. The effort of having to cook and clean every day is the worst part of it all though

Yeah coming home and having to make dinner is so much effort when normally it would just be there for you.

I still live with my parents and my sister when she's home from university.

However, I recently started going out with someone who has lived on his own sort of since he was 19 (not by choice), so he is more independent than me. I've been staying over a lot and I am gaining that independence now and I could probably see myself moving out in a couple of years whereas before I've never seen myself leaving.
