The Trolley problem? Would you Kill one to save 5?

I was recently talking about this in my social class and was curious to what your guy's decisions would be!

There is a runaway Trolley barreling down the railroad tracks.
Ahead, on the tracks, there are five people tied up and unable to move.
The trolley is headed straight for them.
You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks.
However, you notice that there is one person on the side track.

You have two options:

(1) Do nothing, and the trolley kills the five people on the main track.

(2) Pull the lever, diverting the trolley onto the side track where it will kill one person.

Which is the correct Choice?

What damage is a trolley gonna do I mean I'd be pissed that I lost my £1 in it but otherwise just let it roll along

Do nothing.

If I do nothing, what's going to happen is what was going to happen; I didn't actually cause it. If I pull the lever, I am purposely causing the death of one person to save multiple others; I did cause it. I personally know I would have no guilt over not doing anything, whereas I would feel guilt if I pulled the lever.

In no way am I going to judge whether or not those five people are more worthy to live than that one person or vice versa, I'd just let whatever happen happen.

This is assuming I don't know who they are.

Well seen as you didn't say the other person was tied up, I'll switch the tracks so we'll all be safe because that one person can come and untie us.

can i take it home? i'd probably do that but save them all first and make them push me in it until i'm home
