"Money makes the world go around, The world go around, The world go around, Money makes the world go around It makes the world go 'round."
Money, we all want it and we all try to find ways to make it! Either through work, betting or even illegal business. Recently, we had a Grand National and my boyfriend placed a few bets on the outcome. Even though he lost, he still bets on other things, such as football scores.

For this competition, I'd like you to tell me if you have ever placed a bet. Did you win? What was it on? If you have never placed a bet, would you? Why (not)?

Prize: 5 Credits, 2 Raffle Tickets, 15 Rep

I never placed a bet in my life! The reason I didn't is because I feel the person loosing never actually thought he/she would lose
and therefore never get over it. I actually feel like I am stealing. In all honesty people think they will win and when they lose
they get annoyed at you for winning. But that's just me.

When I was a little younger (not this, nor last but year before so 2014) my dad used to let me put some 50p bets on the grand national

stopped last year cos he was cba to go to betting shop and I always ended up said for the rest of the day because the horses died
it's a disgusting event imo should be cancelled
4 horses died this year? disgusting

but yes, i wouldnt want to start betting in case i get addicted

I've done a few sports bets, won about £100 during the last world cup by abusing everyone's signup offers for easy results :P had a bet on the Grand National that I lost but they gave me some free bets to use as a consolation which I put on ridiculous football outcomes like Werder Bremen beating Bayern Munich and stuff but obv lost them too... only open bet I have is a nice 5/1 on Leicester to win the league so that's any easy £50 there

How do I win this comp do I put a bet on it or something

I placed a bet at a dog race ages ago but don't remember if I won or not

It was not technically a bet, however I joined the work Premier League pool for $25 a head and drew Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of the year. Being a Chelsea FC fan I was not impressed but maybe in hindsight?
