Hey guys!
So, recently I've heard the news that there's a new 'Harry Potter' film coming out called "Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them"
I've tried looking around the internet for a few insights as to where exactly it's going to be taking us next, but I can't seem to find anything that really gives you much information about it!
Has anybody heard anything about the 'new' film? xo

It's worth watching for Eddie Redmayne alone
Yessss - Eddie Redmayne is a brilliant cast for this, love him as an actor. Nice to see the Harry Potter style living true as well!

supposed to be a trilogy
dunno, probably going to disappoint as it'll be compared at every corner to the main series
he also has a punchable face

I just don't know how to feel it's so different to Harry Potter and probably not the type of film I'd watch but it looks so good and I'm still mega excited

It does look a lot different to HP but I don't think that'll be a bad thing. Looks very action packed.

Being a massive Harry Potter loon I really want to get into it but as there's no book(?) series I can't bring myself to. Also as there's seemingly yet no 'dark force' aka good vs evil plot I am not sure if it'll draw me like the Harry Potter series did.
Apparently, or so I have read, there will be five films in this series with Johnny Depp planned to be cast as Gellert Grinzelwald. The thinking is that at the end of the series it might link in with the Harry Potter story and have Grinzelwald confronted by Albus Dumbledore in that duel that was described in the books as the "greatest wizarding duel of all time".
I'm planning on going maybe at the end of this week with friends. Somebody on Facebook from school is going tonight.
You?

I saw this tonight!
I thought it was pretty slow and it felt like a film that had been written-as-the-first-part-of-five-films rather than a standalone?
It was also really weird watching a film in the HP universe that wasn't outright HP!
I loved the really subtle references to the mainstream HP universe, IN THE SPOILER!
Newt's Hufflepuff scarf, the reference to Dumbledore, the picture of the LESTRANGE woman I was like OMFG
Thought it was really slow moving too! And idk if there was even chemistry between newt and porpentina. I just didn't like her character. It deffo wasn't as good as I thought it would be although Eddie was fab.
I actually loved the film, Redmaybe personally for me played the part perfectly and is already the right amount of awkward and mysterious that you want from a "wizard". My only sadness about it all is SPOILER:
I really thought Newt would stop Kowalski from going into the rain at the end and instead invite him to help look after the beasts in the suitcase - he seemed so happy and good with the animals!!!
My girlfriend really wants to watch this.

Saw this last week and really enjoyed it. Makes me want to watch all the HP movies again.
