Sooooooooooooooo ive been looking forward to this for about 3 months, one of my favourite childhood films remade with a stellar cast and the one and only (bill Murray) as big bloo bear.

yes I am 26 but not Fs given, has anybody else seen it if so what are your thoughts?

If you haven't seen the original then you've had a very shadowed child hood!

Adored the new film. Absolutely adored it. Jon Favreau has done a really good job at it and Mowgli is convincingly played - especially since most of the film is digital effects (you really don't notice it).

It's very different to the old film, it's much darker - but it's also got a sense of nostalgia and you can tell Favreau loves Disney. There's a bit in the film towards the end where an orchestra starts playing an upbeat, epic version of Bare Necessities and I began to actually tear up at that. So yes, nostalgia still very much plays a part, despite it being a very different film.

I went to see this with my partner the other day and we thoroughly enjoyed the film. The CGI in the film was mighty impressive, I am not overly keen on these "new' versions of the Disney Classics in general as they always tend to make them scarier and darker as Mowgli mentioned. Next up Beauty and the Beast.

I have to say I didn't like it either. I will always prefer the original with the sing along. Saying that I would love to see a newer version of lion king (Not animated)
