We had one of these ages ago and I remember it being quite popular so I'll make another one now.
What are your most unpopular or controversial opinions? They can be anything from not liking cheese (that's mine) to some strong opinions on how the country should be run:¬: GO

Hmm.
I don't think I should have to accept certain types of people in a personal sense. Like, some people would say someone is racist if they're not attracted to those of the same skin colour. Though in a professional environment, people should have to be "blind" in a sense.
I would also say I don't really understand why people who have gender identity issues have operations to physically alter their body. I respect and understand it's a mental illness, but as far as I'm aware no-one has physical operations for other things like this. Ultimately, I don't care if someone gets it done as it doesn't affect me in the slightest.
I think JSA should be scrapped and replaced with some kind of "guaranteed job scheme" where they would get the same amount but have to do some kind of community work to earn it. I'm actually not sure how unpopular this would be thinking about it.

There shouldn't be a -rep button.
Aren't we all here to post our opinions and stuff, why are we giving people the power to have a negative effect on someones account for having theirs

it's labeled as "I disapprove" but we're literally not allowed to use it for that reason

Idk how controversial that 1 actually is. I used to be dead set against any change to the rep system but I now wish we could just get rid of -reps lol :( They're basically never used properly and so I don't really see the point?? Just makes ppl feel a bit sad.

Well apparently not enough people think it to actually get rid of it but yeah. You get my point exactly

positive discrimination is the thing that pops into my mind... I'm all for women/people of other ethnicities/sexualities/religions/disabilities/ages having an equal chance but I really have a problem with anyone or any company that hires people BECAUSE of that to fill some sort of quota.
I know some people that genuinely believe this is a good thing - and if a woman is slightly less qualified for a job than a man who also applied, she should get it over him purely because of the fact she is a woman. I don't know how many people take it this far really and if it's a particularly controversial opinion but I suppose it can be read like I don't want minorities to get jobs but it's not that at all
sigh
