Have you ever quit a job or been fired from a job?

If so, why?

Why not just quit McDonalds rather than refuse to show up? :S

Well I'd never have to see them again so it wouldn't concern me :p
Looming back yh I should've said/sent them a letter or something but I hated it so much I couldn't bear the thought of having anything to do with them anymore

i had a casual job with a cabinet maker and he would get mad at little things then he went crazy at me and the other apprentice saying that we caused the tumour in his brain to get bigger and basically calling me stupid and shit so i said the next day i have another job so im leaving but i never really did

then he shut down like the next month lol

I quit my job as a steward at G4S, it was awful and I hardly got any shifts. I then went onto Morrisons as a Fresh to Go Assistant for 6 months and was then made redundant/contract was up due to the store hiring staff on the overtime hours and if asked to cut back, they weren't able to.

Now work at a cafe and it's awful, trying to look for a graduate job/new job to get me out of this one.

I quit my last job at Primark because it sucked so much, they treated me like a child and spoke down to me all the time. I felt forced into doing extra shifts and they'd get annoyed if I didn't agree to them even though they knew I was busy with uni. I quit when I tried to get time off for my anniversary and I wasn't allowed and had to work Christmas Eve and Boxing Day without a choice because I was weekend staff

That doesn't exactly sound unfair though tbh :P

Most work places im aware of don't make you work Christmas Eve, Boxings Day, New Years Eve and New Years :P you usually get a choice in it!

You only said you worked for Xmas Eve + Boxing day though, it's not exactly 'prime days'.

I've seen there be choices between xmas and new year/eve but not xmas eve and boxing day lol

Ah yeah to me most places round here give you choice in the two I mentioned, but I would have had to work all but I didn't mind having to work New Years ones really just having to work the other ones. My current job gives me a choice :D

Quit two jobs

Subway because they wanted me to work in another store 40 minutes away and do a shorter shift but would not pay petrol costs or parking, so i wouldn't of earnt any thing. Shame as i had a good 3 years there.

And my second job i quit as i was on holiday leave and i had a total of 30 missed calls, numerous emails and 50 whatsapp messages. Then they decided to change the terms of my holiday leave and didnt pay me. I wouldn't mind if i was actually on holiday but i was in training for the Army Reserves which they knew, and it was stressful enough without coming back from a week in the field to all the drama!
