Why did you join Habbox?

Was it for a specific department (e.g. RV back in the day, HxHD back in the day), the forum, or what other reason?

For rare values back in 2006. Then I joined the forum in 2008.

Years and years ago I used it to keep up with the Habbo News for the UK Hotel as I had moved to the AU Hotel. Otherwise I enjoyed the forums as a lurker mostly.

I joined initially because my friend found the radio and got me involved. I started playing out of boredom again when I was a bit older and registered for forum.

Repeat a year later and I win a win a room with DJ Rave (who apparently now owns his own fansite if it's the same iRaaaaave which I think it was) and he told me he was gonna post a thread to congratulate me

Being the massive egotist I was, I of course found my account, browsed for a bit before deciding to become staff and here we are today!

I originally started listening to the radio in 2010 I believe because my Habbo friend at the time was like "hey you can get good prizes here" and we wanted to build a Takeshi's Castle lol. Then I can't remember if we grew apart or if she stopped listening to the radio first, but both of those things happened but I carried on tuning into the radio.

I was really scared for ages to join the forum because it looked really intimidating to me but I think eventually there was some sort of radio competition?? that you had to be on the forum for so I joined up. I don't think I actually started using the forum until 2012 though.

I joined last year, didn't have a clue what it was, just started checking out habbo again.
Walked into the hxhd and Katy was staff there, she told me to sign up and check out the forum..

I joined cos I had a technical problem and wanted to see it get fixed so thought I'd have the most chance of success on the biggest habbo fansite (it fixed itself in the end). Was just a coincidence that articles staff apps opened at the same time so I thought I'd try. Didn't get in which just made me more determined to do it lmao. Pretty ironic really now you can just get straight in to any department. Took me 3 attempts back then.

Yes I did and it was the cheapest thing ever and I could never get enough people for a full game lol :(

Same with departments though, it took me a million attempts to get into HxHD and I cringe to think what a noob I was back then but eventually I got in and I was thrilled!

lol mine was the exact same. A fairly decent enough open room but the rest of the rooms were so cheap people left haha.

i used to host at bru's takeshi castle with elle/faboosh in 2008 and then she became rv staff so i found out about habbox that way and used to look at rv and tune in

i was also friends with orientalframe? since 2009 and i knew her through roleplaying and i used to stalk her quite often on habbo and there was a time around winter 2010 when every single time i stalked her she was in hxhd dancing with alex3213 so on new years day 2011, i decided i'd apply to finally get involved and applied for events :) fab new years resolution and now here i am 5 years later llollllll

I came to Habbox.com generally for the rare values & news like so many others and then got reading the UK News and Rumours forum for new rare news. The point at which I joined up in January 2006 was when then-General Manager 8Freak8 came into my trade room and asked if Habbox could sponsor the room.

Within less than a year of encouraged to apply by Smiddy1234 I was Rare Values Manager. :P

I think the initial reason I joined was because I was friends with Drewar; and he was the Radio manager at the time. (Atleast I think he was... or a Head DJ) from there it all was a landslide and I was hooked.
