I recently came back from Germany!
I went to see the Nurburgring 24hr Car Race and honestly I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would!
Take a look at some images below!

Myself and a few friends drove to Germany and back! Wow!
Had to go through London to get to Folkstone, then get on the Eurotunnel through to Calais. Then through France into Belgium, then Luxembourg and Adenau and Nurburg! 12 hours to get there! Ended up going to sleep at 7PM and waking up at 1AM to get to the Eurotunnel at 6AM hehe.
On the way back we went a quicker route and managed to save 53 Miles on the way back in comparison to the journey there which was pretty good! 10 hours to get back missing out Luxembourg this time!
I thought it would get strangely annoying sitting in a car for such a long time but I really enjoyed it! Driving on the right side of the road rather than the left was quite strange aswell, although we got used to it eventually!
Weather in Germany was unpredictable! Through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and some of Germany, the temperatures hit 25 degrees Celsius when we were driving there. When we got to Adenau (Where our apartment was) - suddenly, it began thundering and lightning! Pouring with rain! Yet it was still 20 degrees, haha. Weird? As for the following days, we went to sit at the race track to watch the beginning of the 24 hour race, and I ended up getting sunburn on my neck, legs and arms - It was brilliant weather. We got the bus back to the apartment but we were stuck on the bus for about an hour due to some traffic jam or something. Anyway, as we stopped suddenly it began hailing! It was like mini balls of ice, literally! As the bus started moving we managed to go a little further and we drove past like, a house garden type thing, and it was - to my surprise - completely covered in snow... at the beginning of June?! Crazy! When I got back to the UK I had heard it had been on the news that lightning in Germany near where we were had struck a football pitch and it was really terrifying apparently. Some children were playing football and they went under a tree for shelter from the rain but the lightning struck the tree and the children got seriously injured and one member of the public was killed!
Luckily that wasn't anywhere near us - I didn't know about it until we got back home! Anyway, the race its self was quite good! At night time there was fireworks, BBQ's, music, spotlights, drunk Germans dancing on top of their cars (xD)! It was crazy!
Let me know whether you would travel as far as I did and if you've been to a similar event or even Nurburgring at an earlier year!
