After it goes above 4.5km it rounds it up to 5km, have you tapped on them to see how much it says (e.g 4.97km). If it does say 5km when you tap on them then you shouldn't need too many steps to make them hatch or do a command on the app such as transfer/power up a Pokémon so it registers that they need hatching.

This happened to me too. My egg went from 2.3 to 5km last night and the only moving I did was when I left my house to go to work and accidentally left the app running. That was literally about 10 steps to the car and the rest was all driving ��

I have 67 pidgey candy that I can use to upgrade the Pidgeot and 24 Hypno candy to upgrade it.. but don't have enough stardust to waste, maybe if I had like 10k+ I would.

AR mode never works on my phone? It sometimes says it can't find my phones orientation but even when it says it's working fine I can't see a pokemon that way. still not a big loss tho as I don't think i'd use it even if I could.

That is probably true but it's just funny how the CEO said he doesn't like the tracking sites such as Pokevision but then they remove the steps feature anyway :P

Although part of family is still really into the game, like they are challenging each other who would get a higher level or higher
cp of a pokemon. But it is pretty annoying when they do it at the grandmother's house during family gatherings because all i hear
is " ohmygod so many pokestops have incense " and " so tomorrow we have planned to go to [a certain place] to catch

I never played it obsessively like a lot of people did when it came out so for me it's still the same - just a casual extra to going around places. If you play it like that it's obviously not competitive because you're not going to be as good as those who do it 24/7 but it does stop you from getting instabored of it

For Halloween they've increased spawns of scarier Pokémon like Zubat, Drowsee, Cubone, Ghastly, Meowth etc. and their evolutions. They've also reduced how far you need to walk to gain candies with your buddy, increased candies via hatching and that too.

I play a little still just because it's something I'm interested in as well as my boyfriend, although they've gone way over the top with spawns of the scarier Pokémon.

I'm enjoying the new update. Today was the first time in months that I actually met fellow players — got talking to this gangsta-looking guy at a gym raid who was so knowledgeable about Pokemon. If raids were introduced when the game launched, it would have been a blast. I bet it's awesome in cities where there are more players. Really pleased with the frequency of raids and the rewards, but the raid passes are pretty much a cash grab.

Solo'd a raid earlier it was fab, prob won't do that many because I tend to only play when I'm on the move and you obv have to stick around for that, but the new style of gyms are excellent such an improvement. Also noticed a handful of new stops near me dunno if that's something that's been rolled out everywhere

I was able to solo a Quilava raid yesterday, but me and this other guy didn't stand a chance against Charizard today (25,000ish CP). I'm hoping to get some TM's to swap up some of the moves on my strongest Pokemon, but they seem quite rare.

I'm level 34, on 263 caught and 287 seen. 144 Kanto, 84 Johto, and 35 Hoenn. I have like ten new evolutions to do, but I mostly only play whenever I'm outside. I keep meaning to set aside 30 minutes to pop a lucky egg and evolve my horde or pidgeys. My highest CP is still Dragonite, but my favourite is Ampharos. I got lucky with a string of Mareep a couple of months ago (and did a lot of walking) and managed to be the first in my area to get one. Still haven't seen another, actually.

No, you only need to be nearby to trade. You can add anybody from around the world as friends and exchange gifts which include things like stardust, items, and a new type of egg which is guaranteed to hatch an Alolan Pokemon. If you click your portrait on the app and then click on friends and add friends, it will display your code. If somebody inputs your code, you'll receive a notification informing you they want to be friends, which you can either accept or decline. There's no need to exchange codes both ways. The only requirement to add friends is that you need to be level ten or above.

Loads of people still play. The gyms near me often change hands. Though I find I don't open it as much since they introduced Adventure Sync. Now you can hatch eggs and collect candies without actually playing the game. The state and quality of the game is so much more compared to when it first released, though. So many people were playing when it first came out, it was always going to lose lots of players after time, but if it was this padded out with features when it launched, more people would have probably stayed interested.
