It's here! The heatwave has seemingly passed and it's time for you all to get hot in the kitchen instead of on the beach. I'm Merry Barry, and this is...

This is open to everyone and anyone with an interest, no sign-up needed! I understand there are time constraints (and probably money issues you peasants) so there will be 2 weeks between a challenge being set and the final presentation deadline. As I sadly won't be able to eat these baked delights the judging will be mostly aesthetic, but if you've got a story to go with whatever you make then feel free to add that in with your entry if you feel it will enhance it! I'm looking for you to show off your skills with Shape, Handling, Ingenuity, and Themes... but most of all, have fun and get some fabulous food made!

All valid entries get a +rep from me and probably from the other contestants so that's nice to start off, and the winner of each task will also get a month of my VIP and a coin sack on the hotel, as well as bragging rights with a place on the leaderboard of course.

For an entry to be valid, there must be a picture taken with a handwritten note visibly stating your username and the word Habbox. You can have yourself in the picture if you want and whatever props or setting you want really if that's a thing you do but the note is a must for validation.

Task One.

Theme: Sponge week
Deadline: 11/8/2016

We're going to start with one of the basics of baking. Since it seems the rain is set to return to our sunny isle we'll need something to soak up all that water; it's sponge week! You can do one big sponge, 5 little sponges, 40 enormous sponges, whatever you like as long as it's deliciously springy and rises nicely. It's entirely up to you what you do with them - slice, ice, build, fill, anything goes. You have two weeks to get your creations done and entered, which means task one will neatly be done in time for HxSS to begin and you'll have something that's (hopefully) tasty to get you through the long nights awake for that. Good luck everyone!
