are you on the pill and if so how long have you been on it, and do you have any changes in your mood or other things? (that i would rather a private/gender forum to discuss and i'm sure you all would too)

since this is so public though we can keep it at just mood

i've been on the pill for 7 years now, it never really affected me at least i don't think so. i went off it for a month and didn't really notice any changes mood wise so i guess i'm one of the lucky ones

I went on tge pill for my first birth control and it made me feel bloated, it's hard to tell at that time if it affected my mood since i was a hormonal teen anyway. switched to the mini pill and did feel better physically and mentally tho but iv liked the implant best

I've been on the combined pill for about 4 years now and I've never had a problem with it. I don't think it affects my mood, not 100% sure though

I've been on the mini pill for four years now to control bleeding cos it's really really bad; used to suffer from dizziness/vertigo, fainting, vomiting, such bad pain I couldn't move and stuff. I was depressed for a long time as a teen but I've overcome it and so I don't think it had anything to do with the pill? Or surely I'd still be suffering (idk how it works so maybe i'm wrong). And even so tbh I would do almost anything to be able to stay away from the periods I used to get.

I've only been on it for 3 years, I haven't noticed any mood issues with it but I have noticed kinda something else but I don't feel comfortable about posting about that yet!

Aw :( Does the mini pill stop bleeding or just make it lighter, as you take it everyday?

Well you don't bleed while you're taking it and then when you take a week's rest you do bleed but it's easier bc I can control it. I would bleed for 10 days roughly (my worst was 12 days it was awful) so now I only bleed for 6. It's still horrible but I'll take 6 days over 10+.

Oh so it's like the combined pill, I thought you take the mini pill constantly with no break. Ah :( I bleed for about 5 days. Oh the struggles of being female x

I have been on the pill since I was 15 years old and been on so many different ones. I've had perfect ones that I've had to change off of because I'd been on them for too long. At the moment my pill is good for my skin but I get dry patches over my lips from it which is so disgusting and makes me feel so self conscious. I would change but I've a 6 month prescription that I don't want to waste and trying to find the right one and constantly going to appointments that take ages to schedule really put me off..

Would share more but don't feel comfortable!

I've never been on the pill, I've always used the patch and I began on that just over 2 years ago (so I was 20).

On the patch I have varying mood changes when it's close to my change date, I can either be in a really foul mood or be all happy and lovey dovey. When I'm due on my period you need to get out of my way and fear me (not even joking), but I was like that before the patch so it hasn't really changed it! The only other thing I've noticed is my boobs have got bigger, but that's pretty much it.

I like the patch because I can tell when I'm due on whereas before I wasn't too sure as it would fluctuate a couple of days either way. I know if I take the patch off on the Saturday I will generally begin on the Tuesday - Wednesday and finish about the following Monday; they haven't made them lighter though, but it's alright.

When I went on holiday I delayed my period, with the patch you just put another patch on where your free week would be, then continue putting another patch on for 2 weeks after that. It was fine, but it meant I started spotting early (which was a side effect to it), but overall the patch has worked fine for me.
