So I was in the bath and could hear my neighbors chatting away and a few questions came to mind.
What type of house do you live in or do you live in a flat? Who do you live with? What are your neighbors like?

I think my house is a terrace house as there are a row of houses connected but we have a shared alley way on one side.
At the moment I live with my mum & her partner.
My neighbor on the left is an old man and he is really nice. We never hear anything from his house as he lives alone and the alley way kind of separates the houses.
The neighbors to our right are Romanian (man & wife with a teenage daughter) and they are quite loud, you can hear them talking a lot, mostly at night. I also her their daughter singing sometimes xD The walls are quite thin & my bedroom is right by their house (moving into another room soon though). We hardly ever speak to them but we do say hello if we see them and they seem nice :) They only recently moved in over a year ago.

We live in a semi-detached with fairly thick walls, so a few years ago it was complete silence from our neighbours. Tho they're getting quite old now and with that comes deafness...lmfao so now we hear their TV and their convos all the time cos all they do is shout at eachother to talk

Oh no, that must be annoying. I never hear my neighbors TV but my mum and her partner have the TV loud when watching films at night :(

we're relatively out the way so our neighbours are all old. There's a farm down the road too but I never see them

We currently live in a flat so we are surrounded by people!! I live with my partner and our dogs. When you enter our building there's two other flats. Up the stairs is our flat and another, we get along with them quite well and always have nice long chats with them. Sadly, our flat and theirs have been rebought by a new landlord and they're forcing them to move out :( the other neighbour we share our entrance with we don't get along with at all. He's quite rude and leaves his car parked in middle of our parking lot so nobody can ever get in and leaves all his shit everywhere so it's difficult to park our cars. Underneath us we have two flats. One of them is an older Scottish guy who parties all night long which sucks and keeps me awake because I'm a light sleeper. I think he mostly lives with his girlfriend now so he doesn't have parties several nights a week anymore so woo hoo!! The second flat underneath us is new neighbours so we don't know them (all I know is they're not British and seem to be awake really late) I smiled at them and they blanked me when I saw them tho :( my other next door neighbour we share our balcony with and they're nice people they just have a massive car and park in our driveway and make it really hard to manoeuvre as it's sooo small out there!

The area is quite expensive so it's near to impossible to live in a house without splashing a lot out of our budget :P we might be moving in with a friend so we could live in a place that we would pay like 1k a month but I'm not sure if I want to give up living by ourselves when we had done for over five years

We live in an upstairs flat. I live with my fiancé. Most our neighbours are nice, don't speak to one of them and our downstairs neighbour is just a NIGHTMARE she moans at EVERYTHING. She is old and has nothing better to do

We live in a detached house in the suburbs. When I was younger I loved it but these days I hate it because there are only 2 of us left when there used to be 5 so the house is far too big for just me and my mum now; I always feel like we're the last two beans in the can and I rly worry about her for when I move out.

But the area is very nice. When my parents bought here it was quite a cheap area as there was nothing really out here but the city has expanded SO much our house has over doubled in value woo hooooo.

We know all our neighbours and we go on like a street christmas walk once a year and stuff but I won't go anymore cos I think a lot of our neighbours are too nosy! Some of them have been very rude sticking their nose in when my grandma was dying last year and things :(

But can't really complain as we're very lucky to be where we are! Hopefully we'll be downsizing in the next few years though as it almost seems unfair for just two people to take up a big family house and I know a family would be very happy here as we were when I was younger.

Story over :)

Aw it sounds really lovely where you live, it's a shame about the neighbors being a bit too nosy though :(

hard to describe rly
we live in a big block of apartments but our setup is a maisonette so we go in one door and walk up a flight of stairs, to the left is our home and to the right is someone elses. so our first floor is on the second floor of apartments and our second floor is the third floor if that makes sense lol.

so there are a lot of flats/maisonettes in this building (lovely fire hazard). not sure who is on the right of us you only hear them every so often at night time and to the left is an elderly deaf pensioner.
our apartments basically full of pensioners and some young single people/couples who work and the pensioners do the upkeep like gardening, painting around the area and we have our own private parking and gates around which only we can get in using a key so its quite nice! you don't really see much people around despite how many places there are as like I say most are pensioners or out working so it's nice and quiet. its just the same old people we see: the guy who walks everyones dogs, the girl cross the road who hurt her leg so she doesn't work anymore and sits outside drinking sometimes lmao whilst her bf works, the lady downstairs who don't open her door past 6pm, the guy who works on cars outside our house, the lady janet who has the keys to the gates etc. lots of times we've missed parcels and people have taken it in for us and came by later. our neighbour we just bring her mail to her as she has problems walking & offer with shopping etc same with any of our other neighbours rly but mostly everyone keeps themselves to themselves.

Live in a house with 3 other people. My girlfriend iKaylaaaaa, my sister emily965 and her boyfriend.

Neighbours... we have neighbours on all 4 sides of us, so it can get a bit noisy. The one on the left has 3 kids under 6, and they love to play in the backyard so you can't go a day without hearing one of them yelling.

Behind us, we have a family with two teenage girls... the mother screams at them and they scream back, had to call the cops a few times before.

aand on the right we have a very placid elderly neighbour who likes to tend to our garden which is on the fenceline :D Keeps him busy i guess.
