I'm not sure if I've discovered a bug or if it's just my laptop but thought it worth mentioning. Every so often on the forum when I go to reply to anything and press space it doesn't work? I then have to press enter to get to the next line and come back up and then do my space? Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm currently using Chrome.

It's probably the enhanced editor bugging out. Not sure if we can even do anything about that. Try switching to the standard editor at:

It's a problem with CKEditor and Google Chrome - There won't be a fix by vBulletin as they are only doing feature changes and updates on their newest product vBulletin 5. I would suggest you change your editor to "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls" which can be done in UserCP or by going to: https://www.habboxforum.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

Just to manage expectations - this is almost certainly an incompatibility between new versions of Chrome and the now quite old version of CKEditor that vBulletin 4 uses as its message editor.

There is no development work on vB4 now, as it is not the current product. The only work being done is php compatibility, any security issues that come up, and a handful of very minor bug fixes. Development work is focused on vB5.

Replacing the version of CKEditor in vB4 would be a major undertaking, requiring months of developer and QA time. I'm afraid that is not likely to happen.

Probably the best bet for any users affected is to get them to switch to the text-only editor ('source mode) instead of the WYSIWYG. They can do this in their user settings.

This seems to be incompatability with the newer version of chrome and fairly older versions of the advanced editor.

There's no dev work done on vB4 now so it's unlikely to be fixed any time soon.

could work with that and yeah david same I've seen recent versions as full blown system rather than forum alone.

vb4 went in same direction though that's when the full suite all came out didn't it.

but that paid skin is nice-ish.

good thing you got the credit card limit extended

If the forum was busy and in an very active state than I personally wouldn't see a problem with upgrading to vBulletin 5 but there is cost involved. Cost of vBulletin 5, skins, premium plugins etc. You then start to think: Well is it really worth it? Probably not.

how much is a license upgrade, or would you have to pay for a brand new one?

I'm not logged in but the site says the upgrade price is: US $209.00
