Do you prefer studying with music on or are you the type who can't stand it?

People at work think they should be allowed to listen to music as it'll help distract them and focus on the work. It doesn't work for me. If I focus on something like work, I can't hear any music anyway. I used to listen to my ipod when walking to college. Sometimes, I realised I'd listened to 3 songs without hearing any of them because I'd zoned out and was intently focused on something else. Used to freak me out actually haha

So listening to music wouldn't help me at all lol

I find music relaxing and doesn't distract me, I'll typically work better with music.

In work we're allowed to listen to music through headphones if we want but I typically don't as we talk a lot.

Same as a couple of people above. Will tend to avoid songs with lyrics as they risk distracting, though I did listen to a lot of stuff during my last great revision period which had lyrics and I didn't get distracted too much so maybe I'm changing.

I usually listen to film soundtracks or Spotify playlists without lyrics, I find it hard to work in complete silence

I'm weird, I listen to songs I don't know very well or don't have any words. If I know them I just sing along and can't concentrate. I've subscribed to a few people on soundcloud and their songs dont have many words but its still good music

I love listening to music whilst I work, it helps me concentrate a lot more and I feel it helps me remember certain stats or figures when typing assignments - sounds odd but don't know how else to word that ;D
I listen to music at every possible opportunity.

I cant listen to music when I study because I get so distracted by the music and make silly mistakes or I forget things.

If I'm in a loud environment, that's when I like to listen to non-lyrical music to block the sound. Any other time or environment, I don't because it distracts me.
