Australia has ruled out negotiating free-trade deals with Theresa May's government until Britain has formally completed its departure from the European Union.

In theory, this means a UK-Australia deal could be years down the line, perhaps the best part of a decade.

To be honest I don't know of anything that Australia has that is worth trading, we only tend to export to the Asian countries anyway.

This should come as no surprise. Brexit is not an apocalyptic event like some hardcore remainers would have you think. Hard times are ahead, it's whether we can push through them. We will know the full impact in ten years, otherwise all this crap is irrelevant lol. Speculation and manipulation.

Formal talks is the key.

Informal talks have already begun. I bet we have an FTA with Australia signed within a year of leaving the EU. Easy.

Will you eat your hat if the bet is incorrect, Dan?
