I get paid on the 28th of every month but any mileage, extra hours, overtime etc gets paid in arrears so june extra hour gets paid with july wage etc

when I get paid, I put money into joint account, keep enough for insurance, petrol, phone and maybe £40 or so if I need on toiletries and the rest goes into savings unless I know i'll need it for birthdays, trains etc! don't like to have a lot in my bank account like to put it all in my savings so I'm not tempted when I'm in a shop to buy stuff

I have my rent and ISA money go out on the 1st every month and my credit card bill (which is just used for train tickets & a few bigger purchases) on the 3rd every month. That usually comes to about a third of my monthly salary. The rest I keep in my current account, using bits when needed, then on the day after payday I move anything over a certain fixed amount into my other savings account!

Im pretty bad at saving and the two holidays I've had thisbyear havent helped me out either. Instead of saving Injust pay the lunp sum out of my wages then I go into my over draft n it ends up being one big catch 22. Hopefully I can sort myself out n stop going into my over draft in Feb because obviously its a short month so hopefully wont go into my over draft then.

Also, just bought myself a Saint Laurent card holder, idk why :| ffs

My old job paid weekly and I got so used to that. I've been in this job for 9 months and still find it hard to manage my money so that I still have some left by the end of the second week haha. I mean it all goes on food, cologne or clothes but it just disappears. Mind you I do put x amount in my savings every time I get paid but I've been doing that for years.

I get paid every two weeks, on Wednesday. I'm happy because there are 5 Wednesdays in November which means 3 pay cheques for me! Wooohooooo :)

I used to be terrible with my money. Money would come in, and I would spend it almost instantly, and I would never put any away for savings. I made it my New Years Resolution for 2016 to start being better with my money and to grow my savings, and I have been doing very well :) Lots of savings now, and it feels great. Pay days aren't even as exciting anymore. I mainly just put all of my money towards my savings and Student Loans.

dunno if i've replied to this thread but last wednesday of the month is my payday i get paid tomoz though (early) cos it's christmassss. my money SHOULD last me cos im on a very good salary for my age but sometimes doesn't cos i'm terrible with it
