Filter Changes

Have you noticed the changes to the filter on Habbo today? A lot of swear words, website addresses and words such as "ovaries" has been filtered. Not sure what else has been filtered but I'm sure you'll let us know!

Another reason why I quit xD I thought we had the bobba filter there for those who didn't want to hear bad words? Those who have it turned off shouldn't see 'bobba' at all!

In 14 years of Habbo-ing I don't think I've ever tried to use the word "ovaries", so I think I'll be able to get over this one. Not noticed any words I use be filtered yet anyway.

This is exactly what I was saying yday. I think it's the generation now and kids aren't interested in a lame game such as Habbo, they're more interested in gaming consoles, twitter, instagram, snapchat and stuff like that... I think if they did a poll the majority of habbo users would definitely be 18+

old habbo was better, hands down. It's shit now and sulake are only focusing on trying to make a profit (and they're arent even being subtle about it imo). Before all these changes things were fine, there were heaps of deals that were actually worthwhile, but now everything has been wrapped in cotton wool and I personally don't find it enjoyable anymore.

Anyway, I take back what I said in this thread previously. The last two days I've really struggled with this new filter, though it is forcing me to clean up my language, which can only be a positive thing.

Never said there was anything wrong with a business trying to make money, but in the past Sulake seemed to actually have credit deals that meant you were getting your moneys worth and didn't seem to be making it so obvious. Now, everything costs actual money and the deals they release aren't worthwhile. Habbo has changed and they don't seem to be focused on retaining players. This combined with little things like coins going into your hand every time you trade and the exchange rate in the catalogue... it never used to be like that and those are the days I miss.

You can now say certain words on Habbo again such as "fuck" and "shit" however you cannot say something such as "fuck off" etc... as this will still 'bobba'

(p.s although I think you've always been able to say shit since the filter came into play anyway).
