Probably more for the people not living with their parents, but do you typically plan all your finances?

If so, how far in advance do you plan?

nope, you plan it for me lol
i just have a rough idea of what i have and what i need that month lol. iv worked out with you what we should have after the end of this year, next year etc so we can plan stuff but i don't take great importance in it. i want to enjoy my money, don't need to scrutinize everything i spend.

Not really. I do occasional 'spotchecks' on my bank balance, then work out what bills I have going out until the next time I get student finance and work out how much I have left to spend on nice things etc :P

yeah I waste money on junk but I still have plan of my money like joint a/c, savings, bank etc.

I have pretty much next 5 years roughly planned out savings account wise (I put like 50% of disposable income into savings a month), just so I know rough amount we'll have after house deposit, wedding, kids, etc.

but i know when i do start getting more into life and having proper bills to pay and money is tighter i definitely will plan how i spend and when i spend cos it gets me nervous

Im shit at saving and spending money. I have bills come out at the beginning of the month and think I am fine thrn spend money and forget about the bills in the middle of the month then I end up practically penniless by the end of the month waiting for pay day.

No bc I still live at home but I absolutely will when I need to. I'm good with money anyway bc I'm bad at spending and like to keep organised.

I still live at home but I still have control over my finances and I still have things coming out of my account and I always make sure I have enough money to pay for it.

I don't plan my finances like I should, but I do have a rough estimate about what I need to pay for things every months - aka bills.
