Do you use an Anti-Virus or any sort of security software on your computers? At the moment and have been doing for years is Windows Defender (default on Windows 10) + Windows Firewall + Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Free)

I have a paid license for Eset Internet security. I have tried lots of different security programs in the past but have found eset to be one of the must secure and also one of the most lightweight.

I also have a premium lifetime license for malwarebytes. Got it on special offer and not that long later they stopped doing the lifetime licenses but still honor those who purchased them. So glad I bought it

No, never have. Just the standards windows one on my windows laptop and don't use one at all on my mac. I'm just careful with what I go on and what I download.

That's the best way but sadly even being careful isn't enough these days. Drive-by download is a technique that hides malicious code in a websites background that is ran simply when visiting a website meaning you don't need to actually click or download anything. These can often by hidden on legitimate websites e.g. they are hacked or an advert contains malicious code.
