You need to change your Skype password as well by the way. Also probably worthwhile changing the password on the email that is attached to your Skype just in case.
Ive never ran an Anti Virus on a Mac before. But what's it called?

my account always sends links to all my skype contacts. I change the password on my tablet and somehow i still get someone sending messages and my passwords are normally like JDHFHSNJ776yf7863^&%^&*&^%hbdfsgadus56& or something
lots of people say on the skype forum about how the hell it's happening when they're sure they haven't been hacked and i can't be arsed to use skype anymore because of it. I had skype uninstalled for ages then randomly install it again and see ive sent messages to people when i didnt even have skype installed around that time
it's weird. I never sign in anywhere except the skype client it's almost as if someone is able to login to my account without a password

To those who have had this happened to their account - Is your Skype account merged with a Microsoft account? Such as @hotmail or @live for example?

Thought as much, I believe it's probably only happening to those who linked their Microsoft and Skype accounts the first time round.
This is the recommended advice on the matter:
If you've already linked a Microsoft Account to Skype, then you'll need to "update" your Skype account to ensure it's fully merged over at Microsoft's account page. Here are the steps:
1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com, if you're already signed in, sign out.
2. Enter your Skype name, not your Microsoft Account email address, and use your Skype password to sign-in.
3. If you've linked your Microsoft Account previously, you'll be prompted to sign-in and merge the accounts to create a Skype alias.
Once the two accounts are properly merged, Microsoft creates a Skype alias to let you keep signing in with a Skype username. You can continue using this or disable it under the aliases preferences, to ensure nobody can try to sign in with your Skype username. Either way, you won't be able to use your old Skype password anymore, and attackers will have to know the email address associated with your account.
This entire process seems messy, but it appears to be the best way to secure your Microsoft account. If you've already linked a Skype username then I would suggest doing this extra merge process immediately, to secure your account. If you haven't linked Skype and Microsoft Accounts at all, then you should be safe to link and merge with the new process.

Yep clicked all the links hundreds of times even though I don't have her on Skype and haven't been online at all, I also constantly make sure I post my password (which is "password") all over the internet just in case this exploit that doesn't seem to require login details gets fixed, because I love being unsafe

ah finally it's not just me pissing everyone off with these messages then
I never even click the links and i still end up sending them to everyone. I did click one once (after i already sent a link to everyone) just to see what it was and it ended up being some random spam advert.. maybe it has some kind of browser hijacking skype exploit coded into it or something? :S But surely skype I MEAN MICROSOFT would have fixed it by now cos it's been going on for years.
all they say is CHANGE UR PASSWORD even though no one logged into my fucking account

An opinion stops being an opinion when it's simply a falsehood, and if you don't know something for sure then don't state things as though you do. You're not Undertaker

It is false because it's not something that I've done. You literally cannot have an opinion on something factual, you're either wrong or right and I don't know why you always try to weasel your way out of everything rather than just admitting to have acted badly
And your group of bullies is generally you Dave Tom and Cerys, sponsored by Matt. I didn't realise it was supposed to be a secret that the bunch of you are arses to everyone

Again, false according to you. Most of us don't believe you so we're free to state that disagreement.

What evidence can you provide that you haven't clicked this link, other than your word? Nothing. The same evidence that Scott/Cerys etc can say that you did click a link. What's your side of the story? Reading between the lines, did you get sent a link, didn't click it, and then it started sending to other people?
The irony in saying we are arses to everyone is quite hilarious on your high horse.

lol just my opinoin!!!!!!!!!!!
Also no I didn't receive the link in the first place even so your "version" doesn't even seem to have anything to go on, and realistically me knowing 100% that I didn't do it is worth far more than a bunch of people who like to upset people thinking I prob did. I'm sure you didn't. Yet it's not, it's one persons word versus the others. There is a lot to gain by claiming you didn't as you don't look like a dumbass who clicked some dodgy link and got your account hijacked resulting in you sending virus links to other habbox managers, staff and visitors.
Proving you right by disagreeing with you? Okay pal.

So what even allegedly happened to your account? I'd like to hear your side of the story.
All I saw was your account sending dodgy links, and when a few others( Prosiary; being one) who admitted to clicking on the link, started sending a fairly similar link that came from your account, you start to put two and two together.

It's not the same since I actually KNOW. If I called you a murderer would my "opinion" be 50/50 as valid as yours when you say you're not? It's very worrying that you don't know how truth works

Maybe if you're someone who actively tries to work around taking responsibility for anything ever, but I admit to my mistakes. I have plenty of them
Proving you right by disagreeing with you? Okay pal.
No dear, by hounding me and then trying to make it all ok by telling me I'm playing the victim when I genuinely am a victim of your pettiness. No acting involved, you're on the attack here
So what even allegedly happened to your account? I'd like to hear your side of the story.
I have no idea, I wasn't online all day and the person I'm supposed to have clicked the link from has never been a contact of mine. Plenty of people around the internet have had the same happen and it's been shown to be a security flaw in Skype, but clearly yeah I logged in without anyone knowing while I was out and thought I'd have a go at clicking virus links that are nearly as old as I am
All I saw was your account sending dodgy links, and when a few others( @Prosiary (https://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=122146); being one) who admitted to clicking on the link, started sending a fairly similar link that came from your account, you start to put two and two together.
And come up with 7 apparently even after being told the actuality of the situation
Aye, on your high horse again eh? Suppose its ok when you throw shade and act like an arse[towards me, usually on client], but pull the victim card the minute any says anything towards, or about you.
What lol I'm more civil to you than most others and I don't generally have a problem with you until you start nonsense like this for no reason. If you think anything I say is a serious attack then you clearly don't know me as well as I assumed you did, since the people I full on don't want to talk to I don't

You claim someone added you and in adding you there's some exploit on Skype that lets them send a virus link to every contact on your Skype list, that's a load of bullshit. So my opinion is you're full of shit and lying to cover up the truth that you simply clicked some dodgy ass link.
You're obviously going to get defensive and claim you didn't to prevent looking like an idiot, fair play.
Maybe if you're someone who actively tries to work around taking responsibility for anything ever, but I admit to my mistakes. I have plenty of them
Not sure what you're getting at there, but we both know you have plenty of them.

I stated two managers, others filled in the names. If I wanted to attack you I would have said you clicked a dodgy link from the start, not several days after. You're always the victim in any situation though we're used to it by now.
