The new DeathList for 2017 has just been released.
https://deathlist.net/
Below you will find DeathList 2017, a list of 50 celebrities selected by an expert committee for their likelihood to die during 2017. There are a few rules to DeathList summarised as follows: Candidates must be famous enough such that their death is expected to be reported by the UK media; Candidates cannot be famous solely for the fact they are likely to die in the near future and only 25 candidates can reappear from the previous year’s list. 2016 was billed as the year of the celebrity death by some and, although DeathList 2016 started strongly, it hit a very lean period from June to November and ended with a final score of 12, two below the all time record of 14. Has the big celebrity clear-out of 2016 made the task more challenging for 2017 or will the rate of celebrity deaths continue apace? Only time will tell...

So I thought, lets do our own DeathList competition here on Habbox and see who gains the most points at the end of the year. We'll do it slightly different though although the rule about being famous must still apply: pick only 10 famous people who you think will die this year. For every one that dies, its +1 to your total.
But for bonus points if you pick somebody who is not on the official DeathList and they die then you get +2 points. Additionally if you pick somebody who is under the age of 50 who is not known to be terminally ill and they die then you'll bag yourself +2: shock deaths are harder to predict and we had a lot in 2016. Anyone brave enough to predict some?
Here's my list for 2017.
King Michael of Romania (95, former monarch)
Lord Tebbit of Chingford (85, British politician)
Dame Vera Lynn (99, British singer)
George H.W. Bush (92, former US President)
Queen Elizabeth II (90, monarch)
Billy Graham (98, American evangelical)
Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg (95, former monarch)
Mikhail Gorbachev (85, former Soviet President)
Sir Bruce Forsyth (88, British television presenter)
Kirk Douglas (100, American actor)
Submit your list and let's see who does best. Maybe we could have a prize for the winner?
