PRICE RISES

Due to recent political events, there have been some pretty significant fluctuations in the value of the British Pound. Due to this, we have been forced to raise prices for British Habbos on our website and in our app.

Thank you for understanding!

-Habbo Staff

On the homepage!

THIS IS WHY BREXIT IS BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REJECTED BY PARLIAMENT!

real talk though habbo is just using this as an excuse to get more moneys

This has happened because Apple has raised the set amounts for prices and in-app purchases in the UK store across the board this weekend. Sulake had to put up their credit prices in the app, and therefore had to bring the prices on the site to be in line with this - if they didn't then surely no-one with any sense from the UK would buy from inside the app! (Read more here at Business Insider (http://uk.businessinsider.com/apple-will-increase-app-store-prices-25-because-of-currency-fluctuations-brexit-2017-1))

i'm against brexit now jk

Sulake got greedy a while ago. I remember when I started how many double credits we used to get then they stopped, not sure if they do them now but certainly not what it used to be. I pretty much stopped buying credits when double deals ended... so instead of having money from me they got: none. Doesn't make business sense. If anything Sulake should be increasing amount of credits you get for your money.

they still do double deals quite often, it's been a while since the last one (november maybe?) so I reckon we're due one soon! Since they started them, I doubt many people buy credits unless it's in a double deal!

I do get why they put the price up, otherwise they'd have one price on the app (to cover apple's inflation) and one on the web hotel, would be a nightmare

Just did some quick maths and Used XE.com.

But if you change the dropdown bar at the top to gobal it puts it all into dollars.

$54.99 being the most expensive which when converted works out at £44.43.

I'm guessing depending on who you bank with there might be a charge for paying in dollars. But wasn't it £45 before?

Have you taken into account 20% VAT?

pretty sure other countries will have some sort of tax in place that is similar to vat, whether that's applied to online stuff like this i'm not sure. still, if you're paying by card USE CANADA EVERYONE, even buying a room bundle saves you £1~

The US won't be taxed on that page I imagine. Even if it is, I don't think any states tax is as high as 20%.

This happened years ago, but unfortuately due to the government and due to the pound always fluctuating in price this is happening....

This is something that people could have saved if they wanted to stay in the EU.

I noticed this. It's such a shame how they had to raise the prices!

This reminds me of Habbo raising their HC prices from 25c to 50c + 50d just for one month worth!
