anyone have a routine when they're sick that they like to follow

i have a few

- force myself to get one or two showers a day
- make myself even hotter if i've got a temperature (fever)
- drink whisky (drinking it now) if my throat etc feels a bit iffy
- sleep never stay awake through it
- stay upbeat and don't get down about it

i try not to take tablets because i dont think it'll be good in the long run and i'd rather my body get over it! usually i will do a bit of exercise too and plenty of rest and keep hydrated

I don't get illness much. Actually don't remember the last time I was unwell. If I have pain though (Tooth pain etc.) I tell myself that it's not actually in the body part that hurts but it's in the one that doesn't hurt. An example would be if I cut my arm or burned it on the cooker I would tell myself I'm hurting in the other arm. It sounds odd but it distracts me from the pain.

I just try and get on with my day. If I'm really bad then obviously I'll stay home and sleep.

I deal with it first and foremost

I also have lots of ginger tea if I have a sore throat. Have paracetamol if I'm really concerned that I'm developing a fever because my immune system is horrendous and I'm really sick when I'm sick.

i also try drinking a lot of water and turn into a big baby when my mum is there to look after me. Otherwise I'm great at dealing with it and dying in peace.
