a lost potential life partner

I suppose most people at one time in their life feel they have found their possible life partner but for some or other reason it did not work out. Possibly years later you might either bump into them or hear what they doing in their lives, at that point you think to yourself that it might have been the best thing never to get hooked up in the first place.

So have you had such an experience and how would your life be different now if you did not break up the relationship when you did?

There is one person who no matter what situation I'm in now I wouldnt think twice about getting back together.
Probably never going to happen but I was young and took the relationship for granted. Now being 26 and 6 years older I see how much of an idiot I was and how much of an impact she had on my life.
I'll always treasure the moments I had with her but I can't change what happened and I can't predict the future either.

Think it's been 6 years and I still haven't moved on tbh aha!

I broke up with my boyfriend like a few months back but it wasnt to do with our relationship it was more we both had a lot going on but we're back together and happier than ever :).

we dated for just under 3 years and he broke up with me, but i was unhappy for so long and should have finished with him months before we did finish. i'm much happier now
