It was announced recently that Matilda: The Musical would be coming to New Zealand finally! Matilda was one of my favourite movies as a kid, although I only read the book for the first time last year. The scene where she's just discovered her magic and dances around the living room to that song is just my favourite scene, and my Mum and I regularly bring it up in conversation.
I'd love to know which one of your favourite books or movies as a kid you'd love to be turned into a musical/play, and why?
(Totally okay if it's already been done, I guess the cursed child play would count as my favourite all time book)
