What a sad story.

For several years, a Florida woman flew her Blue Lives Matter flag in support of the men and women in blue. But just recently, she was told to take it down by a homeowners association as it was deemed a 'racist' flag towards the Black Lives Matter movement. A family member said that the flag was flown in order to honor him and many other family members in law enforcement.

Who knew that honoring the police force could get you into trouble.

A Florida woman is being told to take down her Blue Lives Matter flag that's been flying for several years now by her homeowners association.

Jeff Gaddie told Action News Jacksonville that his daughter in St. Johns County has been flying the flag to honor him and many other family members who are law enforcement.

"She called to ask why," Gaddie said. "They told her they had received a complaint that it was considered racist, offensive and anti-Black Lives Matter,” he said.

The association asked the woman, who did not want to be identified for fear of backlash, to submit a request for permission to fly the flag, which has since been denied.

what?

The woman that flew the flag didn't want to be targeted.

And Jeff Gaddie is her father, an officer.

Next time you need help, someone breaks into your house, you'll change your mind.

Yes, which identifies the female as being his daughter and it wouldn't be hard to find out her name and everything else...

You're an idiot if you don't get the joke.

Okay I sound like a jerk for saying this but the military and police obviously deserve respect, but it's their choice to fight and do what they do and I don't see why people stand and salute them - it's their choice to fight if you see what I'm saying. We didn't make them.

Because they have the courage to do what is required for their jobs and risk their life daily to keep everyone else safe.

They deserve the respect because it's not easy to go through difficult training, (possibly) go into combat, (possibly) see their pals die in war, (possibly) even get killed themselves. There are no jobs where in civilian life where you basically know someone might die. That's why they deserve massive respect. You're right, we didn't make them. But they chose to do it to either straighten their own lives out in some cases or be a patriot and defend their country. That's respectable imo.
